Roxas had decided today that he was going to walk around town, see how everyone was doing. There are many people working hard and trying to lead a honest good life, so Roxas liked to visit the marketplaces and main street to see how the people were feeling. Dressed in his casual white clothes, Roxas departed from the castle, leaving Kairi to have a day to herself. He figured it would be good to let her have a day to herself every once in a while, since he was sure she would like a break from him. He put his hands in his pockets and walked past the castle gates into the main street. There was a market in town, one of the larger ones that happen in the year, where vendors from all over his world and other worlds line up in the main street and marketplace to sell wares at a cheaper price. It was good for buisness in Hollow Bastion and alot of people would always go out and have fun while shopping for new things. Parents would give thier kids allowances so that they could go out and buy whatever it is that captivated thier hearts. Roxas walked down to the furtherst part of the market in town, which ended in a little part of the town that was like a cul-de-sac, there was no more road, only a couple of stores and then the city walls. In the center there was a fountain where many people liked to sit around and toss coins in for the normal wish routine you would always find at fountains and wells. Roxas stopped by a specific stand, one that was selling all kinds of fruit from many different worlds. The owner of the stand was a old friend of Roxas' from when he first came to Hollow Bastion and gained the leadership of the great world. "Well hello there Mr. Lord of Hollow Bastion, I am glad you could stop by to see an old old friend" said an older lady. Roxas had gotten to talk to her during one of the other markets way back during his early years in Hollow Bastion. She was old enough to be Roxas' mother, if he had a mother, but she enjoyed going places and doing all sorts of things. She was a traveler, going to many different worlds with her husband and bringing back stuff to sell to other people. She had told him many different stories about the places she had been too, which interested Roxas. He also exchanged stories with her about some of the places he had been, of couse most being from the time when he was in the organization but he would keep those small details out of the stories. "So, how are things? I heard a rumor from some of the townspeople that you and that pretty girlfriend of yours might be getting married soon, is that true?" she said, always in almost motherly way since she would always be like that with the people she knew. "Huh..wait..w..who told you something like that? I haven't asked her or anything...its not like I haven't thought about it...I would like to..well I.." Roxas said, staring at many random directions, she just smiled and laughed "Haha...don't worry about it, whenever the time is right, you will know. Now I won't get into your buisness anymore, I have customers you know. Here take this." she said handing him an apple. He took it, waved goodbye to her and turned around.
Making his way out Roxas looked at the people and how happy they seemed to be, he looked over at some kids playing near the fountain and he started to take a bite of his apple. He then caught a glimpse of a young girl, who looked to be about ten, walking in the crowd of people. Something about her just didn't seem right. Roxas stood there as she walked past him, a strange neutral look on her face but a chilling feeling in her eyes. Once she walked past him, Roxas dropped the apple...a blank stare overcame his face as his head tilted towards the sky. A weird red light started flashing all across the sky as Roxas stretched his right arm out to his side. A cloud of dark energy enveloped his hand and slowly formed into the Oblivion keyblade, red colored light energy started to collect around the blade of the Oblivion. The next thing Roxas saw was the body of a civilian in front of him, his body impaled by his Oblivion keyblade, blood ran down the keyblade to his hands, dripping like rain droplets and forming a small puddle on the ground. Roxas lifted the man up, the keyblade still in his body, and then threw him off to the side, his body hitting the wall, breaking several bones and splattering blood all over the wall. People started to scream and panic as everyone ran around in a frenzy. A look in his eyes that made it seem like he was enjoying it, Roxas continued to strike down the people who were all running in different directions. Bodies of children collapsing into the fountain and tinting the water red, bodies being ripped apart. Some people, barely alive, crawling towards thier missing body parts and crying out to the sky. A large amount of people were running towards the only exit in the area, Roxas spun his keyblade in his hand and tossed it towards the surrounding buildings, cutting them at an angle. His keyblade returned to his hand as the top of the buildings began to crumble down and crushed anyone below, cutting off anyone's exit and killing everyone there. His clothes were covered in blood, no longer white but dripping from the crimson liquid splashing onto him. The tv monitors in the area where flashing with weird text and the screams of the people were quieted as the area was covered in the body parts of the townspeople who were unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place. Roxas stood still in the middle of the area, the last drops of blood dripping from his keyblade, his arms shaking. His vision blurred for a minute as he stared towards the exit where you could see the arms of people reaching out of the debris that crushed them. A small girl was skipping, humming a happy tune, as she stepped over the bodies of the people. Roxas looked around and was in shock at what he saw, collapsing to his knees as the keyblade disappeared. The tv monitors that were still in tact still flashed violently with strange text as Roxas looked over to the left of him, the body of a girl laid there, a girl who looked exactly like Kairi. Roxas tried to scream out but nothing came out of his mouth, he could not say one word. He crawled towards the small girl who was still humming, she looked at him and had a pleased face, turning around and walking away. His keyblade appeared in front of him, in a pool of blood. For a reason he did not know, all he felt was the need to end his life. He killed his own townspeople, he saw the lifeless body of the person he cared about most, he wanted everything to stop. He took his weapon in his hands, turning it on himself, wanting to make the final blow but at the same time having his body freeze up in fear. Roxas stood there, time seeming to stand still as the blood of many flowed through the streets of the city. The tune the little girl was humming eerily echoed in his head.
