Steward, Soldier Batch D has be prepped and is coming along rather nicely. We've managed to raise..

Anse, save me the percentages. Have you increased their stability?

The two stood debating on the 13th Floor of Castle Oblivion, in Felonix's private study. Felonix wore his usual attire, a glass of whiskey in his left hand and a half-smoked cigarette in his right. He stood, admiring his General's Medal that he had retrieved after Lenneth had helped him regain more of his memories. He had hung it on a plaque next to a fireplace in the room, his sword Burning Rage resting peacefully above the mantle. Anse, a rather lanky and hunchbacked scientist stood motionless, his face buried behind the cover of a clipboard. To most, the thick glasses resting on the bridge of his nose would be too much, causing more damage than good. But Anse preferred them, despite the fact that he didn't actually need them, claiming they allowed him to fit more onto his paperwork, allowing more complex statistics and equations that would usually require an entire booklet to be written. His long white lab coat rustled as he reached inside, grabbing a folded paper inside. Felonix took a drag on the cigarette, blowing the smoke in the air as he waited.

Well?

It appears the formula stuck to more than 27% of the candidates this ti.. The shattering of the whiskey glass and the small fireball the remaining whiskey created from being thrown into the brick of the structure interrupted his sentence.

27%? The last two batches were barely 17%, and the best you can give me is a 10% raise?

Sir, we're understaffed in the lab, I don't have the..

You don't have the what, Anse?! He spread his arms out, half in frustration and half to emphasize his point. We're in a damn digital fortress Anse! What more do you need?! Another whiskey glass slowly digitized itself from thin air, reinforcing his point. Thanks to the trade made with Azmot, combined with the illusory nature the Castle already possessed, there was nearly nothing that couldn't be created out of thin air. He took another drag from the cigarette, this time for longer, before running his right hand through his hair for this stress. For a nobody, Anse sure knew how to get under his skin. He slowly walked over to Anse, exhaling the smoke in his lungs as he approached. Anse gulped from fear before straightening himself upright as Felonix approached, despite the fact that the top of his head still barely came to Felonix's jawline. Felonix bent over, clasping his right hand with the cigarette on Anse's shoulder firmly, and looked him in the eye, his face devoid of all emotion.

Fix it. Don't waste any more of the perishables. IAGIS.

The computer system was more than familiar with Felonix's behavior at this point. The digital system knew what to do. Before Anse could agree, his body began to vanish into blue blocks, transporting him back to his laboratory. Felonix sighed after he left, much on his mind. He walked to his liquor table, reaching past the whiskey to the scotch. His preferred drink, but his last bottle. He had been saving it, but he wanted that drink more than ever right now.

Sir?

Felonix tilted the bottle enough to stop the flow of liquor into the glass. What. IAGIS? His tone was less than thrilled to already be interrupted again.

I apologize Sir. The synthetic British butler was never truly apologetic, but he continued nonetheless. There appears to be a Gummi Ship entering the world borders.

Felonix continued staring forward before continuing the flow of alcohol into his glass. Malicious?

It appears not Sir.

Then engage autopilot and park it in the garage. He turned, walking to the desk in the center of the room. As he moved, his surroundings changed, the illusion of the study dropped to a room of stark white. The desk in the center of the room now sat in front of the throne. As he sat in the chair, IAGIS piped up one last time.

Of course Sir. Would you like me to activate the cameras?

He drank from the glass in his hand before spitefully responding to the system. Surprise me.

A large screen would appear on the wall opposite the throne, showing every room in the Castle. He sat, his head resting on his fist, Burning Rage resting on the wall to his left. Lingering Darkness rested rather leniently, leaned against the side of the throne for ease of access. Another audible sigh escaped his lips. He knew it was all a ruse. The anger, the stress, the guilt, the strain. He felt none of it. He still knew it was going to be a long day.

The thrust of her ship slowly decelerated its flames upon mere inches away from the ground, lowering the landing gear slowly on the harden stone, touching it as the g-forces blew the dirty away to leave the bareness of stone heavily cleared. Small jibs and cracking sound came off as the metal joints bent and stiffen, allowing the ship to hold itself up without much trouble. Inside the cockpit darkened only with a single light source varying from the large projected screen displayed at the pilot’s sit. Next to it typing away was a young woman of refined class and bluish silvery writing away at command inputs at her ship’s computer. Location, air composure and ground stability all proved her level of cautionary attitude at exploration, the air proved to be stable with a slight over abundance of carbon dioxide, the ground was hollow underneath but the crust was able to maintain a considerable weight and the location? Pray it appear to be a ruin of sorts. At the very least in the records she had for the place. That appeared as a confusion assumption her archives were making, this didn't appear to be the exact same condition this castle was left in. Upon looking out from her outer scanners the castle she saw and the picture in his record were different in many ways, but in short the one now standing looked to have been repaired and fully re-mastered.

Perhaps then someone restored the place to its former glory? If so to what ends? Who would they do this for such a massive fortress, architecture enthusiast maybe? Or maybe someone had taken this as a place to call home and take its throne. It was interesting to pounder to herself, this place certain had some history to it name of oblivion. It would prove something that would test Liandry thirst for knowledge today.

Standing she left her ship with a casual haste trailing her high heels, picking up her hat on the stairs out from the path. Looking on with her soulless and piercing blues the scene around certainly drew attention, the sky appeared to be like a vortex of energy, the ground to the side of the paths looked to drop down into a dark abysses and the warmth of any sort of light was non-existent. Whatever odd plane of existence this world came from clearly it was not natural.

Her long European dress casually graced the ground as she briskly moved towards the castle, peering to the sides in case she lost her stepping, propelling downward into the darkness was not on her agenda today. Pearl white gates stood well above the huntress’s stature and yet but with a feat of strength the gates somehow opened with little more effort than an average sized though.

Her pace allowed entry well into the first few steps of this grand old castle; it was in remarkable shape to stay the least. Even of her own noble roots Liandry felt humbled at the scale and level of effort it must have taken to make this place feel so majestic, so white and clean like a sea of white lights solidified in starlight looking back at her like a mirror. She would only step just near out from near the door at first before standing by it, if this place was private property she wouldn't dare think of intrude further. But if nothing happened then it would be worth wild visit to travel further in.

Felonix sat, eying the console with great intrigue. Here was a woman, maybe around his physical age, dressed as though she had just come from a gala or fine dining experience landing in his world out of no where. Her behavior was curious as she peered over the ledge of the pathway leading up to the grand entrance and..

And she just walked in.. he mumbled.

Yes sir. IAGIS' metallic voice chimed in carrying his own two cents. I opened the doors for her.

Felonix turned around, gazing into the larger console resting behind the throne where IAGIS' digital brain was stored. A deathly look of annoyance rested in his eyes. ...The hell IAGIS? It's damn near Midnight, and you let an intruder waltz right into the Castle?

She doesn't look like she brings any harm with her Sir.

He turned around, rising from the throne. The devil is in the details, IAGIS. He moved towards Burning Rage, his massive signature sword, and pulled it from it's resting spot on the wall. The flames in the sword ignited in his hands, playfully licking the darkness flowing off of it. I'll deal with this now. He began walking towards the door, setting his glass of scotch on the table beside him before proceeding. He extinguished what remained of his cigarette in a small ashtray and rested Burning Rage on his shoulders before turning again towards the door. He walked towards it with no intention to open it. As he got closer, his body started disappearing into blocks of blue, the blocks rushing into the door similar to how smoke gets sucked into a fan. It was almost instantaneous as the Steward disappeared from the throne room on the 13th floor..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

...and began appearing on the stairwell leading from 1st to 2nd floor. The blocks began rushing from the door as if being forced as Felonix slowly faded into existence. He had analyzed this woman from his console above. She seemed tall, maybe eye level for him? Her outfit was interesting, but nothing he hadn't seen before traveling the worlds. Age-wise, she looked to be older than him physically. For him, 25 was a curse that only a nobody could experience for 6 years. She seemed to be rather.. fair, he decided, was the best way to describe it. Nonetheless, he had fully digitized in the matter of a second before walking down the stairway.

Excuse me Miss. Ugh, I hate diplomacy. The shops are currently closed. I would recommend you come back in the morning when the lobby is active. His deep voice seemed to echo within the empty and otherwise silent hall. He would wait, his own curiosity the only reason he wished to gauge her interaction.

The moments passed without delay as her mind wondered for a moment, merely looking at the great reflective whites of this castle she could see herself so clearly in their allure. Her skin as pale as flesh could be, her face seemly frozen in its disillusion and her body…yes this cursed form that tilted on an existence she did not ask for. The curse running through her veins that gave her power beyond what a mortal should be allowed to endure. It has given the huntress a whole new view of the fabric they called life, weaved by some unknown force of creation, seeing it now from a larger picture merely took her breath away at how small her family, her world her life truly were. But it was not something she could ever wish for, it brought knowledge which drew others to her door step and took with them many things she held in value. Yes to be blessed again with ignorance was a fantasy most desirable to at this wretched face but one that could no longer be possibly. Not so long as she kept her pride.

Her forest of thoughts became still as the sounds echoed though out the halls of this white castle, Liandry broke her staring contest with her image long enough to gaze upon another human figure standing far across the other side of the hall from her. A man considerably size with similar hair as herself with the exception of the snow white feature his had in contrast to the bluish tint of her own. He dressed in rather battered torn attire; it spoke to her of his great battles perhaps or a hermit living alone that cared not the views of others. Whichever could be true it appeared as though he did have some owner ship to this place judging from his words. With that in mind Liandry respectfully bowed her head towards the lord in apology.

“Forgive me Sire, I meant no disrespect entering your property, I shall take my leave. May the spirits bless thy day well.”

Standing again the huntress turned and left through the open door with great haste and pose, heading for her ship to be of no further disturbance to the master of this castle.

10% isn't good enough for him.. What the hell is he thinking? Anse muttered in his lab as he worked, crunching numbers in his head as he talked to himself. Soldier Batch D noticed a significant increase from before.. He stopped, turning around and facing the dials of a machine in the room. The machine itself was backed up to the wall. A glass panel separated his lab from the experiment area, for his own protection. On the other side of the glass, a perishable rested, silent and unmoving, and strapped to an upright table.

Anse stared at the dials on the panel for what seemed like ages to him. It couldn't be that easy could it? Can I.. what if.. His hand began frantically moving the dials, turning each and every one to a different statistic. His face was emotionless as he worked, to caught up in the process of his own mind. Finally, with the dials in what he believed to be a proper position, he began the initialization process. His eyes widened as he looked up, however, to see the perishable on the other side of the glass fighting, resisting, screaming out in pain and agony.. It wasn't supposed to happen like this, it hadn't before.

He frantically looked back to the instrumentation panel, looking over all his changes before realizing his mistake. Only one dial, meant to be set to "5", was a hair below the notch, the system recognized the dial as set to "4" instead. Anse began to panic. Unlike his leader, he was very much human, and therefore very subject to emotion.

Shit.. shit! SHIT!

-----------------------------Lobby---------------------------------

Hm.. that was easier than expected. They usually put up a fight or give some reason to stay.. The Steward turned, about to return to his throne from the way he had arrived, before something felt off. The small rattling of a far off explosion would confirm that. On the Lobby floor, it didn't seem like much, a few of the white flowerpot statues shook in their place, but it was enough for Felonix to know something was wrong, and at this hour, he knew the only one responsible could be Anse. Status report.

Well.. uh.. funny story.. Felonix was in no mood for games. Anse. Right, sorry. There's been a small accident in the lab. 'Small' may be an understatement..

How did he know? How did the Steward know this would be another restless night? Have what remains of Batches B and C dispatch of it. But Sir.. they're in stasis. Waking them now will be detrimental to the program.. And I don't know if they alone will be able to take this problem down..

Fine. I'm coming. Sir, you may want backup if this gets out of hand. He sighed again, frustrated with the scientist. Jesus, Anse, what the hell did you do?

Well.. you'll find out..

Damn it. He turned to the woman at the door, but only caught a glimpse of her foot and the door closing behind her. He wouldn't have much of a choice but to ask for assistance. He ran through the hallway, arriving at the massive entry door and digitizing through it to save himself time. She was almost to the gummi ship by this point.

Hey! He shouted, hoping to catch the woman's attention before she left. I don't suppose you know how to efficiently fight? I could use a hand in here. Hopefully the woman was capable, as well as able to notice the small shake from the explosion earlier so as to know something was wrong.

The strolled appeared like it was going to be brief considering the distance between the door and the court yard, merely moving towards he transport her mind wondered on where exactly to travel to next and it wouldn’t be far she would need to go. What sights she would see or the wonder of the green land was next to fill her senses with more frequency then any market place, it really did excite her to see more. The huntress turned once at the door step she just departed from just for a moment, the odd rambled reached her ears and the sensation of the earth move beneath her heel intrigued her brow to raise in question. But the women paid it little minded as it as simple a lord’s propagative to do as he please in the comfort of home, turning she kept on her way to new worlds to behold. Reaching in the sleeve of her dress she quickly unlocked her device just dropping the hatch; it was just then the lord of this castle rushed and again spoke to the huntress, though in a much different mannerism and tone. He appeared in a sort of panic, a distressfully sense rubbing off as he asked a total stranger for some assistance. The second bouts of force shook the foundations to garner further knowledge into the fold.

It didn’t looked to be very modest about it either so she gave him a little more of her day, confronting Felonix now with the front of her full attention Liandry kept her compose stature well in tec before continuing their interactions.

“Aye milord I possess proficient skill with the blade and my time is sparing to offer a small audience should you need it so. However the question remains un touched, what might the lordship be offering myself as payment for such a service?”
