It was weird. Beyond weird, it was something that I never saw coming, but then at the same time, my most recent slip into darkness, my most recent fall into the world that I had so deftly fled from started to overcome me, and I found myself waking in the place of origin for those that are nothing. I opened my eyes slowly, feeling the change in atmosphere, that weird pressure on my chest and mind as I struggled to recognize my surroundings, because they weren't of my room.

In fact, I expected my mother to knock on my door, and ask me if I was okay, knowing the dark signs of the seclusion. My brother would walk in and make an attempt to be kind to me shortly after, sweet-hearted, but often times, in his young age, unaware of where his thoughts should have been directed, at what he should have done.

It was unfair to think otherwise, though. It was unfair to push on him any sort of responsibility He was young, and in my age, the only way I could help those that were in my present position would be to listen. And he would do that, except I had learned that not sharing everything wasn't such a great idea. Especially when playing.

So, one could imagine my surprise when I opened my eyes and I found myself floating above Castle Oblivion. It was one of the places I wanted to be least. I knew Onyx, and I knew of his recent conquering of this place, and overall, I knew that he would capture me quickly if he had any will to, and idea who I was. I was the connection between it all, the illustrator and conception of those that were arming themselves against him, the orchestrator of the plot to bring him to his knees.

I struggled to know what to do, but only imagined floating downward, gently, and to land upon the ground. My eyes filled with water, and my muscles tensed. This reality was better than the other, but not by much.
