We should give everyone a freebee to rewrite their stats.
I suggest this based on the fact that some members want their stats changed, especially now knowing what they do.
This would only be a one time thing unlike slot removal.

I also might suggest that we might be able to get 1 free strength unaffected by a single weakness, like so even Jacks can have a strength. Idk.

But I like this. It's pretty much like a "I know what stats do know so uh I'm fucked" solution.

If we were to apply the 1 freeby strength then we'd have to do that during this, hypothetical, stat change to make things more convenient. However, I'm unsure how the site and the staff would receive this system.

While I highly doubt they'll give a free strength, except for the fact it would be for everyone, I do believe that since most agree to this, it might happen.


Also, I believe it should be in accordance to how they have been playing their character, like how they developed them. I mean, this is mostly referring to those who have been developing for a decent amount of time.

Drakar, the freebee would be a one time thing that can be completely random and essentially a "get jail out of free card" for having messed up a character design.

Afterwards, you would have to actually work through whatever means the site has to get those stat changes.

But, for what it's worth, I really do like this idea.

Honestly, though, I'm thinking it might be worth it to tie this to the in-character events. Like, a "Make a Man Out of You" training montage topic, or some such. Letting people rebalance their stats, but, keep them from just automatically doing it.

I think this would be great, although I personally don't think I would do this. I feel as if my character has already slowly grown in certain areas over the course of his life.

Also, what Jeremi said.

And well, I was talking about how, for example, someone can increase their strength by training or working out. I feel like I've already gotten my character to the stats he wants, so I don't need the instant-change.

Personally, I already made up my mind if I got a chance. He has lower body strength but a lack of upper body strength (those balance each other), Agility, and POSSIBLY stamina. I was thinking of low endurance and magic defense. If i take stamina I'd have to sacrifice accuracy or Magic power.

And training doesn't do anything more than fighting.

I'd be fine with just getting rid of a addtional weakness, not necessity making it a strength but just average  for my guy so its not a down fall any more.  Like a small shift in it seems fair enough rather then a dramatic 360, low to high affinity for any given stat.  

Idk just how I feel about it, if your average in something make it a strength if you want but a sudden spike in a area your were awfully at seems much.

Also agree people would do fine with a slight re-work if their stuff if they have been experimenting and now understand what they want in their rpg

Although, that's not necessarily a huge issue if the opportunity to change stats happens. Essentially, it's just a rewrite with those affinities and the potential new system.

Although, what Azmot suggested needs to be discussed a lot more since that's a huge change to the site. Member opinions would be appreciated regardless of what side of the fence you stand on. Mainly just to make sure this is decided with stat changes to possibly get two birds with one stone.

While I do see where lenny is coming from, I do agree with the one free strength, It's a good way to fix mistakes that were made in the beginning. At least for those who didn't know what each particular stat dictated, like myself. That single fact made my character as far from what I wanted him to be as he could possibly have been... So yeah, Im for the free strength.

Yeah, that's how it'd work, Selene..(I put the extra period because it's in your name. Not sure if you prefer otherwise orrrrr yeah lol).

The free stat up would extend to all new characters that come in as well as old members who come back and etc.

Forgot about the freebie stat. So if that was applied, Agility, Stamina, Lower Body strength with Magic Defense and defense being low.


But then again, a lack of weakness could also be a more balancing way to do it (Possibly) Lack as in no extra strength but one less weakness.

So, my opinion is that this appears to be liked enough to pass but I doubt the extra stat will come to fruition, if anything I think it will be the lack of one weakness.

Well in a way they are not the same.


If someone has a defense weakness then a strength in strength will be even more potent. And if that was the extra rather than one less weakness it'll make someone more potent. Also, with more strengths comes more opportunity for certain capabilities.
