How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

Post by The Cloaked One on August 21st 2011, 10:43 pm

Music: Girei; The Song of Pain

In the cold of a desert's night, a figure shrouded in black marched through the vast, empty dunes. Howling winds smothered out any remnants of the whispers from his metallic boots digging into the sand as he ascended to the peak of a hill. Through the set of silver eyes gleaming from behind the darkness covering his face would be perceived the final image of the grand city known as Agrabah. It's people will be deprived of even the warmth of one, last morning sun. Only shards of sandstone and pools of blood will be there to greet the rising star. Before the destruction, however, must come the defeat. Those aligned with he who calls himself Sultan shall meet their end. The Sultan shall meet his nightmares.

How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty Re: How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

Post by The Cloaked One on August 26th 2011, 1:54 am

The hollow silence persisted through the lands, until finally the figure stood just meters from a massive sandstone gate that separated the city from the unending sand that composed the rest of the world. His black cloak whipped violently in the wind as the being marched stoic before the fortified metropolis, still rendered all but invisible by the shade of it's hood. Not the slightest sign of life crossed his senses as he continued approaching the great doorway. Digging his boots into a final print in the sand, he stood less than two feet from the center of the two halves of the portcullis. Pausing only for a moment, the figure cocked his arm back and sent a fist directly into the gate, blasting a huge hole through it, and causing the sides to crumble around it. As the dust began to settle, the figure could be seen standing atop the pile of debris he had just created, with an uncontested entrance to Agrabah. If those in need of judgement would not show themselves, then they would be hunted like the animals they are.

Post by Saixor on August 27th 2011, 4:12 am

Saixor was standing on one of the many balconies on the palace, enjoying a glass of fine vodka and reflecting on the day's events. He was still out bit of money for the wrecked palace roof, but eh, in the grand scheme of things, what's a wrecked roof and water damage here and there? The Sultan took another sip of his beverage. He had a movement behind him. His movement. His personal army. Ah, life was grand.

As far as Saixor knew, the World Eaters were in their rooms, which he'd provided for them. The Maestro was about to take another sip of his vodka when he heard a large boom from the gate into the city. "The f-..." Then he felt it. Something terrible. He wasn't sure what it was, but there was some kind of very powerful, very bad thing that could be felt. Saixor finished his vodka, threw the glass off of his balcony, and ran.

***

After getting his weapons, Saixor kicked his palace doors open, dramatically. He had a bottle of vodka in his left hand, his scythe in his right. His spear hung low on his back, on a leather strap. He'd had his servants fetch all waking World Eaters. Let's just test this 'personal army' shtick, shall we?

Saixor took a hefty swig of his vodka, and sprinted for the gates. He felt tense, like his body wanted to move. With each footfall, he felt it. He heard the throbbing of his heart in his ears. He heard his breath, shaky for the running.

There wasn't a doubt in his mind; he was ready to fight.

How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty Re: How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

Post by Emerald on August 27th 2011, 1:22 pm

Emerald cooled off in the room provided for her. Sipping the apple juice, and pretending it was beer was fun, even when everyone knew she was 13, and couldn't drink. It was a nice room, with fresh air, hell, it was even decorated nicely. Standing up from the comfy chair, she set her glass down of a nearby wooden table.

She needed to talk to Saixor. And now. What were they to be doing? Should she just sit here? Doing NOTHING? That was wrong. She couldn't just do nothing. Even if it was disobeying the leader. Heck, she was a world eater! When would she get to take some worlds!? The fact and matter was, Emerald didn't even know why she was doing this.

Was it for power? Or fun? Or maybe even to change herself? Emerald desperately needed to know. She needed to know as soon as freaking possible. But, a thought came to mind. Emerald was doing this, well because..she hated herself. She just couldn't stand her life. That was why. This could be a new start for her, a new path. What other use was a 'nobody?' She was nothing. She had absolutely no purpose in life. But little did Emerald know, that was about to change.

Walking out to the balcony that surrounded her room, she watched Saixor run by, with his Scythe, and not surprisingly, a bottle of Vodka. Was this action? Could she prove herself worthy to her master here? Maybe she could! And IF she could, she would! Emerald quickly ran down to the "lobby." Or at least that's what SHE pictured it as.

Her sword materialized in her hand, as she ran through the doors, which were still swinging from the Maestro's hard kick. Sword in hand, she ran as fast as she could, although she still lagged behind Saixor. Where were they going? Emerald knew it must have been somewhere important for Saixor to run like this. He was pretty shaky. Should Emerald be nervous for some reason? Did she have reason to worry?

Emerald did alright, but it was more terrifying than she knew. Because out of her sight, stood a Cloaked man, or rather a creature, waiting for the World Eater's arrival. She had no idea, where she was going, or what she was up against, and hopefully, she wasn't plunging to her death. Hopefully, she would come out of this battle strong, and victorious.

Music: Testament

The cloaked entity rose his head slightly, his silver eyes piercing through the dust and into the hearts of two beings who now rushed towards him. Unfortunately, neither of them were who the figure truly sought. To that end, however, they each had the potential to serve. And they would, whether they wished to, or not.

He remained silent and still, poised atop the crumbled entrance to the city, waiting for the two to gather themselves. After waiting for such a long time, a few extra moments would make little difference.

Post by Zihark on August 27th 2011, 4:50 pm

Zihark heard the distant commotion of a freak explosion. Out an about, opposed to the Sulton's suggestion. Zihark let the cool breeze take him to the location. He headed there using buildings. He hopped from one to the next. He quickly spotted Si and Emerald, also walking toward the disaster. A being sat atop the rubble that once made up a large chunk of the gate leading to the city. A familiar face.

Mystic was relaxing upon the rooftop of a building in Agrabah Street, just enjoying the nice view. He thought it was nice at least. The stars were shining, the dunes were quiet, the palace gates were exploding-Wait, Mystic thought, That's a bad thing! Mystic climbed down the building, landed on the streets, taking his staff out, and dashing towards the gates. It seems someone wasn't to happy with Agrabah's new ruler. Mystic just held his staff, ready to attack whoever this person was.

Marini was definitely not in her room. She was outside in a long sleeve maroon colored shirt with a black skirt, she wore dark gray tights underneath it with boots. Like usual she carried a bag and her sword. She had just bought a necklace when she heard a big boom. She looked out into the distance and could see some dust. Marini sighed. Trouble.....at night. She thought. And when there's trouble that you know you can not handle, especially in the night What do you do? Charge right into battle and stop the trouble! Marini answered her own question in her mind. Not! You turn around and walk the other way as if nothing happened at all. And that's what Marini did she turned around and walked the other way. I sure as hell ain't gettin involved with something like that at this time. She thought putting the necklace in her pocket. She yawned. I'm a bit away from my room. I'll just go stay at a hotel.

Marini walked into she found exactly what she was looking for, a hotel. She checked in as her aunt Synthia's name and happily went to her new room. When she saw the bed she immediately plopped on top of it. With her face in the pillow she began to think for awhile. "I hope I can find a good part for a backup plan. A nice light and good part. And not a mean dark and bad one, I already have enough of those." She thought outloud. "After all one does need some form of light." Her eyelids were becoming heavy put she didn't close them yet.

(OOC: Have a feeling I may regret this....a lot...)

How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty Re: How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

Post by Demyx IX on August 29th 2011, 8:05 pm

~-TWTNW-~

A male was laying in his bed, stripped to his boxer. The covers had been kicked into the floor, and his arms were behind his head. The grey room that enveloped him was bland, with the exception of one wall, in which many musical pieces were held in place. In the center was a picture of himself and a girl on the shore of Destiny Islands.

The sleeping figure was slim, wearing only a pair of blue boxers. His body had a minuscule amount of lean muscle mass, but it was there, from years of working with the Organization. The moon shone through a single window, casting an eerie light over the castle in the distance.

Yes, he was supposed to be in his room in Agrabah, but he preferred to sleep in his home, if that.

Immediately, with no prior warning, the door slammed against the back wall, as it was shoved open. The male, with his acute senses attuned from recon, shot straight up from his resting position. He saw the man, and recognized him as a guard from Agrabah. The guard was frantic, and out of breath. Immediately, he began to explain, stating that Agrabah had been attacked.

He slipped on some clothes, with the utmost of speed, and donned an Organization Cloak before leaving, hood up, through a portal.

~-Agrabah, Ten Minutes After The Initial Attack-~

A corresponding portal opened for a fraction of a second, allowing the hooded figure to dash from it, and then closing. The Nobody had the stature of a male in his upper teens or lower twenties, but had a slumped, lazy posture. He wore a black leather hooded coat with black gloves and boots. The coat was plainly adorned with a silver zipper and silver beaded pull strings for the hood that formed a semi-circle in the middle, and was fitted rater tightly, especially around his arms, which were hanging at the his sides. Demyx wore the zipper zipped all the way at the top, but it opened up slightly above his knees, revealing that the male was wearing hakama-esque black pants and knee high silver trimmed boots. Pointed shoulder pads were adorned beneath the coat, and the hood of the coat was casting an impenetrable shadow over the figures face.

The sand crunched violently as he sprinted towards the gate. He ran towards Saixor. "He's going to kill me, He's going to kill me, He's going to kill me," He thought, over and over.

As he reached Saixor, the Nobody stood three feet behind him, to the right, and removed his hood with gloved hands. No. IX had green eyes and dirty-blond hair, which had an odd mullet-like style. A few bangs fell over his face, and he had almost child-like features. He appeared substantially younger most Organization XIII members.

He looked around, and immediately spotted the attacker. He sent chills down the Nobody's spine, even though they were facade? Demyx turned to Saixor, and spoke. "I don't like the feel of this," he said, realizing the irony of the statement.

How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty Re: How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

Post by Leo on August 30th 2011, 8:22 am

The Pirate King was known to spend a great deal of his stolen loot at various markets...among other places of "business"...that was his original idea among coming to this god-forsaken kingdom of nothing but sand and blistering heat...yet they had quite a rare collection in their market which could prove to be worth sweating for...being shrouded in a thick, red jacket didn't help much for the heat either.

He had yet to spent a half hour in the market when the explosion occurred. At first, Leo wasn't sure what to think of it. A dust cloud arose that would cover much of the sky for a brief moment before it dispersed once more.

Could some kind of freak accident have happened? Or was someone attacking the city?...

For the time being, the Pirate stayed calm, as all of the surrounding citizens bolted for the nearest hiding hole. He peacefully strolled through the remainder of the market, swiping a few items here and there that might be helpful later.

"Why can't I seem to 'ave jus one normal day?" he muttered as he made his way to a nearby building.

The building was composed of nothing more than sand and stone...broken away in some places as a result of its age, yet it would be easier to scale that way.

The piratic wolf made his way carefully to the top of the building, climbing was not by any means his favorite way of getting to a desired location, but at times it was truly necessary.

Once atop the aged structure, all was clear. It was as it everything slowed down...the dust settled and standing upon the rubble was a cloaked figure...it was quite obvious that this was the one whom caused the explosion and the graphic damage to the city's wall...but why? What purpose did this figure have here?...

As a pirate, Leo was curious...yet he was smart enough to not ask too many questions. Pirates were theives...sneaks...backstabbers...they were merely onlookers unless they were otherwise engaged to participate in such deeds as the ones that were sure to unfold before him.

Post by Balendin8 on August 30th 2011, 7:10 pm

Balendin sat high on top of the city wall overlooking the desert city bbeneath him. It was a cold night, as desert nights tended to be. His green cloak was wrapped around him and his hood was pulled over his head. He had thought to find the bulk of these so called 'World Eaters' in Traverse Town, but his eyes and ears there had indicated otherwise. He had tracked the group here. He planned to investigate the desert world farther in the morn.

There was a loud blast from the direction of the city gate and Balendin turned his eyes to that direction. The gate lay in ruin with a cloaked figure standing on the rubble. Balendin saw another figure moving that direction from the tops of buildings. Unless Balendin was mistaken, it was the youth Zihark. Balendin had considered Zihark a close acquaintance at one time, but he had no clue what the two of them were now that Zihark had cast his lot with these eaters.

Whatever was going on, it had nothing to do with the veteran warrior and Balendin was content to simply watch the events unfold from a distance.

Music: Forgotten Challenge

With each passing instant, it seemed his choice of entrance seemed more and more ideal. The inhabitants of this world, even those of others, all began to converge on the undermined entrance of Agrabah, as flies to a flame. This flame, however, would be the one consume them. It would envelop and devour every one of these insects until this world of sand became one of ash and bone.

The figure rose his head up to face the converging forces, his sterling eyes a set of beacons in the sea of shadow that surrounded his visage, and began to speak aloud to them. "Misguided dissenters, offer to me the Sultan of these badlands and your transgressions shall be left unpunished. Resolution to this will be met with death; the highest form of repentance."

Post by Saixor on August 31st 2011, 5:16 pm

Saixor knew most of his followers were idiots, so he turned to them and explained "He said surrender and die. ...Normally I'd say that he meant to say 'Surrender or die,' but in this case... well, yeah." Saixor looked over to the... the thing, in front of him. He had Zihark, so that was good, at least. He'd have preferred to have Leo, as well, but he hadn't shown up yet... That weasel...

Saixor took a good swig of vodka. "How's this for a plan, actually? I personally beat your ass for breaking my gate, and give you to the sand? Because frankly, it sounds like an infinitely better plan in my book."

Post by Emerald on August 31st 2011, 6:01 pm

Emerald saw the figure in sight once more. Who....or what was that thing? Emerald sure didn't know. Her leader spoke like he was extremely cocky, and Emerald knew with an opponent like the one she saw, wouldn't like it. Emerald didn't want to fight, but she couldn't leave her leader alone. Quickly scanning her surroundings, she noticed that almost all of her team mates were standing there, beside their master. Surrender and Die? Emerald certainly didn't want to...well, die. What should she do? Quickly responding to Saixor, she stepped forward to talk, loud enough for only the world eaters to hear.
"Saixor, Are you sure about this? Look at him! He looks like an ultra...alien soldier of some sort!"
Emerald spoke to her master with wisdom, even though he probably didn't need it.

Post by Saixor on September 2nd 2011, 7:53 am

Music - Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8 in C Minor (II)

Saixor glared at his subordinate, infuriated by her doubtful attitude. He was tempted to kill her then and there, but did not.

"Either you will fight beside me, and survive, or consider yourself a deserter, and I assure you your death will not be swift, and will not be painless if you desert me." Saixor had no room for doubters, only fighters. If Emerald was unable to perform her duty, she was useless to him. That being said, he'd much prefer to have numbers on his side.

The figure did look intimidating, that was for sure. But Saixor knew no fear. Growing tired of standing his ground and waiting for the figure to attack, the Maestro ran towards it, still clutching his bottle in his left hand and scythe in the right. He came closer and closer to the figure then finally... kept running, to the ruined remainders of the city gates and wall. Running up what remained of it, he kicked off of the wall, flipping midair and bringing his scythe down for where he guessed the figure's shoulder would be, then rolled back to his original position, looking over his shoulder to observe the damage he'd hopefully caused.

Post by The Cloaked One on September 2nd 2011, 8:48 pm

As one of the group of entities finished muttering to another, he suddenly rushed towards the hooded figure. Fractions of a moment later, he was launching himself off the side of the great wall surrounding the city, and was cleaving through the air towards Agrabah's intruder with his scythe. Uninterested in whatever fantasy of strength this reckless whelp possessed, the figure never moved an inch. The sharp blade of the scythe slammed into his shoulder, slashing clean through the cloak he wore and producing no feeling of penetration and a high-pitched screech, as if there were a block of steel hidden underneath. Slowly turning his head in the direction of this particularly obnoxious ant, a single silver eye locked onto him. "Unless that was your way of agreeing to cooperate, then I'm afraid powers greater than ourselves must have been in need of a laugh when they placed such audacity in a weak piece of trash such as yourself."

((Since its basically a post order free-for-all))

Demyx remained silent the whole time, keeping his eyes locked on the figure. He listened to Saixor explain, and thought "I know what he said. Why do you have your back turned? Are you so confident that we can win, that you drop your guard?!" He frowned behind his hood as Saixor turned around as care free as a child.

A small sound of detestment escaped from Demyx's mouth as the Sultan charged, baring his scythe. The nobody winced as the scythe stopped cold, against the figure's skin. It scraped like metal. "Ngh, How?! There's not enough room under his cloak for armor. ...It must be inside him!" the nobody realized. Saixor rolled back to where he had originally stood, and Demyx took a step forward, standing beside him.

Hearing Saixor's earlier lecture to Emerald, Demyx was almost fearful of speaking doubtfully. Instead, without removing his eyes from the figure, the male reached out his right hand. When he did, water rose from the ferments of the sand, and collected into an orb that the formed into a sitar. Arpeggio was spun around, and he thrust the bottom of it into the ground, the instrument acting as a small shield for Demyx. His eyes never left the figure, as his hand never left his weapon.

Post by Saixor on September 5th 2011, 3:45 am

(I was waiting for Emerald, but whatever.)

Saixor grunted; his spear had met with surprising resistance; was this figure some kind of metal beast? For a brief, fleeting second, he felt... concerned. Then he grinned. No matter, he thought. Metal, flesh, darkness, no matter what his enemies were made of, he'd destroy them.

Ignoring the jab at his power, the sultan stood, and twirled his scythe at his side. "That's a pretty nice trick. I've seen some neat stuff in fights before, but a metal body just takes the cake," Saixor took another swig of vodka, laughing. His subordinates needed to see him unafraid. "Demyx," the Maestro said, suddenly cool again, "Calm down. He won't kill you, you're a World Eater, under my personal protection. But if I feel you're holding back for fear to your person, I will. Same goes to you, Emerald."

At this, the Maestro took a much bigger swig of vodka and left it in his mouth, then ran forward, swinging the back of his scythe-head for the figure's neck. He followed this through by spitting the contents of his mouth at the figure's face, sticking his tongue out at him. Here's to hoping someone on this damn team has a fire spell.

The figure scoffed as the same fodder made another empty remark and rushed him for the second time, swinging the blunt side of his scythe towards him. As the weapon came to hit him, the figure ducked his head and dropped his knees slightly, allowing the strike to carry on harmlessly through the air. Immediately at the same time, however, the figure thrust to the side with a straight punch that was aimed directly into stomach of this incessant irritant. With all the momentum this trash had put into running towards him, on top of that which came from swinging such a clumsy weapon around, it would be nearly impossible for him to avoid such a close-range strike. The splash of alcohol that came during the scythe swing also flew over his head, and would make dodging the punch even more difficult due to the lack of both oxygen and focus such an idiotic move would have cost. If such a solid punch from this entity were to hit it's mark, when he could bring down the gates of Agrabah with a single hand, the recipient would have more than just the wind knocked out of him.

How Hunters Become Prey (Open) Empty Re: How Hunters Become Prey (Open)

At the blow from the figure, Demyx knew in all reluctance that he had to act. The nobody lept forward, hurling his Sitar at the figure. He threw it at an angle, where it would not hit Saixor, and his fingers slid across a chord as it left his hand. The instrument spun, with an orb of water sailing underneath it. The orb would crash into the figures shins, and the Sitar would travel another few meters before faltering. Demyx would then sprint forward toward he figure, and dodge roll beside him, rising with an uppercut.

He had observed that the figure was the type to stand still and get attacked, so at the last minute, a pillar of water would explode from the ground and the nobody would retract his punch. When the pillar had reached its climax, Demyx leaped back beside Zihark, taking a defensive position, and played a epic melody on his Sitar.

Saixor leapt at the last possible moment instinctively, letting the force of the Mysterious figure's punch send him hurtling back. He felt the pain immediately, gnashing his teeth in anguish.

Mid-trajectory, he flipped backwards and recovered, skidding back into a graceful landing. The Maestro coughed, and briefly held his stomach.

"I-Idiots... don't just stand there... FIGHT, DAMN IT!" His voice rang loudly throughout the city of Agrabah.

Straightening, Saixor looked at Zihark, nodding. "On the count of three," his look conveyed.

one, Saixor nodded, putting his left foot forward.

Two, he nodded, sharply inhaling.

And... Three, he exhaled, sprinting to the figure once again. He was mad. It was gonna be all or nothing, Saixor just knew. He knew he'd die. But he knew that this fight would be his legacy.

His legacy would live on in the hearts and memories of the World Eaters, who'd hopefully end all of creation.

Sending his target hurdling away, the figure glanced to the side to see another whelp rushing his way; one he vaguely recalled. Robed in the black of the Organization and wielding a large, blue instrument, he lobbed it towards the figure as a large bubble of water formed underneath it. Just as the two projectiles were about to make contact, the figure lowered his left arm to his opposite side and thrust it upwards, his hand tearing through the orb and slamming into the sitar, sending the instrument flying. The sphere, however, was hardly affected, and burst against his legs with sufficient force to nearly stumble him from his stance. Immediately afterwards, the Nobody rolled beneath him and threw a punch upwards to which the figure didn't react at all. Instead, the figure launched his right arm, which had been waiting patiently at his side, directly for his blonde opponent's neck, which would still have been recovering from the momentum of a roll in his direction. There would be little hope of escaping such a grip alone.
