Reina managed to topple him, but not without resistance. she struggled to get up and got on knees while above him. When she was finally successful, she readied her claws. she began to swing her hand rapidly at the man's face, with intent to leave permanent scratch marks. Certainly she was angry, furious even, but usually she was far too tame for this.
Something about getting smacked over the head may have helped set her off, something which under normal circumstances was not easy to accomplish. She remembered suddenly back to a time when she was in a similar situation as a child. She was wrestling with the bandersnatches like usual, messing with their tiny heads, and having a bit of fun with her "Puppies". She however was in a part of the woods she was unfamiliar with on that day, and a jabberwock decided to rear it's head while she was playing. She saw the thing peer it's head over the trees and stare down at her, needless to say, she was frightened. The bandersnatches ran off, and Reina tried to follow. She however, tripped over a branch and found herself cornered by the beast. She backed up while on her backside to a nearby tree and began to sweat shake profusely, for her life was in certain jeopardy. She wet herself in fear as the jaws of the creature came within inches of her, when a bandersnatch came in and jumped at it's face. At first Reina thought it had come to save her, when in reality it seemed that a second jabberwock scared it into the creature and it wasn't looking. the two jabbers grabbed the bandersnatch and ate it while Reina could only watch.
....After their meal the creatures turned their gaze to each other, and fought for a very long time. Reina, who was too frightened to move watched as they fought to the death. One killed the other, abut was barely alive itself. Something in that moment snapped in Reina, and she took the advantage. She leapt at the now dying jabberwock, and grabbed onto it. She closed her eyes, crying like a baby as she continued to claw at the creature over, and over, and over. Literally 5 minutes may have passed, and no longer did the jabberwock have a recognizable face. She was covered in blood, it's as well as her own. She could no longer scream, her throat gave up, but her eyes continued to shed their tears at an alarming rate. Her hand was all red, almost impossible to recognize. Her claws had ruined flesh beneath them, and one claw even had part of an eyeball on it. She stared at her own hands, for a very long time. Perhaps 20 minutes passed, but in her mind, it was an eternity in a hellish nightmare. She vowed to keep it secret, keep it unknown to anyone for fear of losing herself, or being recruited by some child army or something else otherworldly and unheard of in wonderland. She ran away from her home that day, afraid to face her family even.
This event was not dissimilar, she was going to go berserk on his face, but she stopped moving before the claw hit just barely. She climbed off of him, and regained her senses.
I.... I'm sorry.
She said not to him, though it was directed at him, but more to her past. She began to back off, her eyes clearly not in focus.
I.... I guess I lost control there....
(It's actually called Reina's theme in japanese too.)
