Liberating the Desert City (Open) Empty Liberating the Desert City (Open)

Post by Chan Gama on November 21st 2010, 3:22 pm

Chan was in his gummi ship flying were ever the ship took him. He was laying in a small bed which was really the only other thing in the ship besides a place for a driver and the controls. He had set the ship to auto-pilot so he could rest a little, since a few hours ago he got a strange feeling of a world covered in sand was being invaded by darkness. A siren began to go off signaling that Chan had either arrived at the world or there were enemy ships in the area. When he got to the cockpit he saw that there were heartless ships flying everywhere. "What the heck is going on here," Chan asked himself when he had to engage combat systems so he could defend himself. He engaged thrusters and began firing his guns to try to take out as many ships as he could. Eventually after he finally managed to take out a couple of ships the enemy began to make formations and had Chan pinned down. Chan was trying his best to throw them off, but he was slowly running out of fuel. Chan saw the world he was being directed towards to and it looked like the heartless had formed an invasion in order to claim a new world as there own. "I don't think so you evil things." As Chan was trying to descend to the planet his ship was hit by a missile and his engines were destroyed and he was sent flying into the world without anyway to landed efficiently. As Chan was crashing he sent out a distress message "Attention everyone who is hearing this message the Heartless have invaded a world that seems to be in sand and has a town with a palace at the end. Also at another point of the world there is a cave entrance that seems to go deep into the sand. Anyone who heres this I am sending the coordinates please help before the world is swallowed by darkne..." The message was cut off as his transmission was interrupted. Chan's ship crashed into the sand and slid about 20 feet forward putting him at an oasis.

Chan emerged from the cockpit and stuttering towards the oasis. Kori jumped out of the storage area and walked behind Chan till he caught up. "So Chan what are we going to do now were stuck here and unless someone comes here to help us we'll be done by the end of the week." Chan stopped for a moment to scout the area and saw that no heartless were close to them. "Don't worry Kori someone will come I sent out a distress signal someone should be here hopefully. For now we need to savage what we can from the ship before it blows..." Before Chan could finish the engine exploded and anything in the ship was toast. "Never mind. Hopefully someone will be able to give us a lift once this is all over."

Liberating the Desert City (Open) Empty Re: Liberating the Desert City (Open)

Post by Shirou on November 21st 2010, 7:07 pm

[Halloween Town - Approx. 6 Hours before]

Shirou walked around in the large mansion that he took residence in. He wore a white undershirt, boxers, and socks. His lounging clothes. His hair was uncombed and a complete mess. He went in every room just roaming. There was absolutely nothing to do here. Nothing. It was even more dull than when Yima was here and neglecting to teach him anything. Oh well. He wondered what Etzolix was doing. He wondered if the reptile-hybrid enjoyed being in a position. He then wondered if he missed Yima. He sighed. Time to go wander around in Space again, go find a random world, and hang out, trying to find something to do.

The young keyblade master went to his room to change. He put on a hoodie, deciding to wear black this time, pants, which were white to contrast his hoodie, and his old pair of black sneakers. He combed his hair, or tried to, and looked at himself in the mirror. A pair of clear, piercing green eyes stared back. He smirked. Time to go.

[Space - Approx. 2 Hours Before]

Shirou was riding in the Ballistic Gummi Ship that Yima had allowed him to use. He had already visited three worlds and nothing interesting happened when he visited. Such a boring, dull day. He decided it was time to utilize the Ballistic's fighter abilties and eliminate some ships that belonged to Heartless, which were travelling from world to world. Shirou never quite got how they managed to pilot ships. But, oh well. That problem would be solved another time. Not that Shirou cared.

[Space - Approx. 30 minutes before]

Boom. Another ship blown up. After the fifteenth ship, you kinda get bored of it. Well, for Shirou at least. He was nearly bored to death. Why did life have to be so dull at times? Oh...right, because if it wasn't always dull, Shirou would probably be running for his life or something of the sort. He was driving around Agrabah now, when he heard a distress signal. It seemed like somebody was in...well... distress. Something about an invasion of heartless. Interesting. Shirou hadn't visited Agrabah in years. It was about time he should again. Maybe or maybe not he'll help the person who needed rescuing.

[Agrabah]

Shirou skimmed the desert in the Ballistic. He found a clear spot in an oasis and landed. He stretched and yawned. Thanks to his clothes, the heat wouldn't affect him like others. To him, everything was the average temperature; nothing too hot or too cold. He then locked his ship and started walking around in a desert.

After a few minutes of walking, Shirou heard an explosion in the distance. It didn't seem to far, so Shirou started walking towards it. Twenty minutes of nothing but sand, Shirou came across the wreckage of a ship and two people standing next to it. He didn't decide to introduce himself, or even approach them. He simple stood on a sand dune, his hands in his pockets, watching them. He waited until one of them noticed him.

Liberating the Desert City (Open) Empty Re: Liberating the Desert City (Open)

Post by Balendin8 on November 22nd 2010, 9:11 pm

Screams pierced the air as people ran around in panic. Balendin had been shopping in the busy bazaar whilst eating a kabob made of some unknown meat when a bunch of heartless appeared out of nowhere. It was a score of soldier heartless accompanied by a dozen bandits. They wildly attacked the people around them. The guards in the bazaar tried to take control of the situation, but the chaos would not be tamed. Balendin summoned his Wings of the Dragon and flew up into the air before he was trampled by the crowd of running people.

Balendin drew his katana in his right hand and his rifting saber in his left. Quickly he dived towards the center of the heartless. It was time for the Sleepingsword to awaken once again.

Chan saw a gummi ship in the distance sailing on the sand and was hoping it wasn't in the middle of a crashing. It came to a stop and what seemed like the pilot climb out of the ship. As the pilot was walking forward to the duo Chan told Kori to stand down. "Hello Shirou it is good to see you again since the tournament. I am assuming you got my distress signal otherwise you wouldn't be here. Me and Kori were about to head to the city to help there do you want to come. Also do you know how to repair gummi ships?"

Shirou observed the two. He remembered how he had kicked Chan's ass in the Tournament. Fun times, indeed. They had a broken down gummi ship. From what? Shirou doubted that Chan or Kori were incompetant enough to crash. Possibly from the heartless above? Eh, oh well.

"No, I don't know anything about gummi ships, and yeah, sure, I'll come with you guys, but don't expect me to do anything," Shirou told them. He only did things if they benefitted him. Selfish? Possibly. Lazy? Indeed.

Liberating the Desert City (Open) Empty Re: Liberating the Desert City (Open)

Post by Balendin8 on November 23rd 2010, 6:45 pm

Balendin sung as he slayed. Not so much sang as chanted. It was a war chant sung in the ancient tongue of his ancestor. Balendin himself was by no means fluid in that language, but this particular war chant and a few others had been drilled into his head during his intense military training and through all the battles he had fought in as a soldier.

Balendin fought alone. All the people and guards that were here had either fled deeper into the city or had been killed by the heartless. He bled freely from a number of minor wounds on his person. Balendin would not even likely realize they were there until the battle was over. Many heartless fell to his blade, but for every one that was slain it seemed two popped up in it's place.

Suddenly a heartless in front of him disappeared as a scimitar slashed through its body. The guards of the city had come to drive these invaders out. After a fierce and bloody affair the heartless in the bazaar were no more. The surviving guards looked to him as if awaiting his command. Had they no commander of there own?

"The heartless will come again. Seal off the main gate. Have the people barricade themselves into the homes or move them to the palace. If worse comes to worse, that is where we will make our final stand."

If the heartless thought this city would be easy pickings then they would soon find out how wrong they were.

Chan and co. began to run towards the city due to the faint fighting they heard in the distance. "We have to hurry. Kori climb up the walls if the worse comes you know what to do." Kori replied and went ahead to get into position. "Alright Shi your fighting at one point if there is an invasion this large then we should expect a few powerful heartless. If the researching I did on worlds before are right we may see some Pot Centipedes." As they got near the city they saw a the gates about to be shut and locked. The two picked up speed and made it through right before the gates were closed. "Alright who is leading the defense I need to speak to him." Chan summoned his keyblade encase they were attacked suddenly.

Zihark was off on his own elimentating heartless of various sizes with his new weapon, Demon fang. Although it was a keyblade, it didn't resemble any keyblade. This would hide his difference to the other soldiers. Although it was still an unusual weapon, it might poke out. Zihark was adourning the usual Agrabah army attire that he had swiped, unnoticed from the armoury. His keyblade was carving though the first wave of weak heartless. Soldiers gathered around a figure, Zihark followed their lead. It seems that they were gathered around Balendin, an aquantance on more than one occassion. He was older than Zihark and seemed like a competent leader. Zihark disbanded on his own, he went to the main gate and killed any small heartless that entered. The gate started to rise, Zihark rolled underneath. He was attempted at being followed but failed due to a keyblade to the head which was thrown. It retracted back to his hand. No one noticed everyone was wrapped up in their own accord. He had let 2 humans pass through before the gates closed. He pointed his weapon at Balendin's previous direction.

"Don't tell me what to do and we'll be peachy," Shirou told Chan, his tone stiff. He didn't like people telling him what to do like they were in charge, especially weaklings. As he walked through the gates of Agrabah, he noticed the seriousness of the Heartless invasion. He could feel the Darkness within the air. He smirked. How amusing. Among those in the town, he saw Balendin, and another who he really didn't know quite well, but Shirou saw he had a keyblade. Great, another one. A few minutes later, he left Chan and his partner and ended up on a nearby rooftop, sitting on the ledge. He watched the town below. If only he had a bowl of popcorn.

Balendin stood in the middle of a square. He was overlooking a map that was spread out on a table that some soldiers had brought for him. A small group of Agrabah soldiers stood around taking his commands and runners were sent to relay them.

"The heartless could attack anywhere so get those archers on the walls and roofs. He need eyes in high places. Also set up the ambush spots here and here. These would probably be the most effective places. Make sure every one of those big red pots is destroyed. I will not have any pot spiders getting the jump on us because they can hide amongst those red pots."

A runner came up to Balendin announcing the newcomers that had made it through the gate before it shut.

"Escort them to me immediately."

Chan walked through the crowds and saw that they were preparing for the next wave of heartless. Chan knew whoever was in charge of this operation knew what he was doing. He saw that they were destroying red pots and Chan guessed they were trying to find some pot spiders. Chan was finally escorted to the man who was in charge. "Hello sir my name is Chan Gama I am here to help you with this invasion."

Shirou continued to sit on the ledge. Behind him were four unconscious guards. He chuckled and muttered to himself, "Escort me. Yeah. Right." He then continued watching the town below. It seemed as thought Balendin had taken over the town to help fend of the heartless waves. How amusing. He noted the two people, Chan, the Keyblade wielder, and Zihark, the Nobody. Maybe he should shove them into hordes of heartless and watch thunconcsiousem get devoured. It'd be amusing to see Zihark fade to nothingness and for Chan to lose his heart. He wouldn't bother with Balendin; he had proved himself useful. For now, though, Shirou would wait and watch until he decided what his next move would be.

Zihark standed by Balendin hoping that he would recognize him, Zihark could be more useful than the rest of these soldiers. Balendin would most likely recognize him, they had met on several occasions. Zihark looked forward to leading the actual troops. Balendin was stuck to his post. He seemed to be an amazing tactition and with him in the battle field they would most likely be sunk. Zihark could lead the soldiers into battle, following Balendin's orders. Once the soldiers saw Zihark elimenating the heartless one by one they would recongnize him as a leader, hopefully.

Balendin looked at Chan.

"I was told there were three of you. Who did you bring with you and where did they go?"

He then turned his attention to the man beside him. He had picked up Zihark's scent earlier, but apparently Zihark had disguised himself like one of Agrabah's guards. If Zihark wanted to pretend to be one of the soldiers; Balendin would play along.

"You fight well. I need you with the main attack force."

He turned to the rest of Agrabah's soldiers standing nearby.

"I need two teams of ten each made up of the best of you. Everyone who is not part of these two teams, the ambush groups, or the archers on lookout are to reinforce the palace."

Chan looked at the guard that Balendin congratulated and he seemed familiar. Chan then felt a dark disturbing presence approaching the city. "Balendin we must hurry an evil force is heading towards the city and I don't know how long that barricade can hold them off."

Shirou waited and wondered what was taking so long.

Zihark took 9 of the 18 soldier's that looked like they were ready for anything, All they would need is strength speed and defence. 4 of them had shields, 4 of them had spears. The last one had dozens of arrows accompanied by a bow. He had a plan. The shields were large. On the way to the main gates the soldiers took turns carrying the weapons and sheilds for maximum speed. "When we get there, each defender, pair with an attacker. Attackers will catch the heartless from behind the shielders. It should be easy to attack them with your long shafts. Go for the smaller ones first. Dwendle their numbers first them work your way up. Despite the weaker ones being killed the larger ones will get scared with their ally numbers decreasing. You, with the bow. You hang out up top. If a shielder fails to gaurd an attacker, you grab the kill with your bow, that is your primary objective. Otherwise kill the larger heartless. I'll take the middle. 3 pairs on each of my side. Lets move out." They reached the entrance and the gates were opened. The waiting heartless army charged. "HOLD THE DOOR FIRST. STAY IN A STRAIGHT LINE."

Zihark quickly jumped to action forming the first attack group. It seemed he was heading out into the sands to fight with the bulk of the heartless forces. Balendin turned to Chan.

"Join with the second attack force. Keep the city clear if you can."

Balendin summoned the Wings of the Dragon and flew up ten feet into the air.

"I am going to reinforce the palace. Everyone has there orders. Move out."

With that, Balendin took off flying towards the palace.

"Alright." Chan turned to the 6 archers and 4 swordsmen he had been assigned. "Alright men we are going to stay here and wait for the enemy. I want the archers to go to the upper levels so you can have a clear open shot and swordsmen I want you to hide in the shopping stands so we can surprise them. You have your orders now go." The soldiers saluted and went to there positions. Chan summoned his keyblade and waited for the heartless to come. He heard the main gate bust open and felt the heartless rushing into the city. He saw 5 soldiers arrive at his position. Chan slashed through all of the armor to reveal shadow heartless. Then 3 Large Bodies entered the city to aid the heartless. "Why is it always the fight ones." Chan than sang a special song signaling the soldiers to attack. The archers began to fire there arrows at the large bodies while the swordsmen attacked the shadows. Chan then took out a green nocturne that had appeared behind him.

The soldier's were doing nicely, they were holding the line perfectly. Long spear heads poked and prodded at the small, defensless heartless. Shadows and Soldiers alike fell to the spears of Agrabash's finest troops. They were coming in from both sides, toward the large Lion head, and on the right toward the empty desert. The heartless were crawling in from both sides, the ones on the left seemed to ignore Zihark, trying to break through the defenses. The archor was raining arrows from above. What seemed like an endless amount, maybe he had people running supplies to him. Zihark had to deal with the left alone, other than the archor protecting his men with expert accuracy.

Zihark cleaved through the few shadows and soldiers, not even a second glance was given by the swordsman. They were being dealt with by Forgiving Bliss. Once the shadows stopped a large band of four armed swordmen appeared. Tricky stuff. 4 of them surrounded Zihark. He took the initiaive and got the jump on the first one with a clean cut through the skull. The heartless evaporated as the other 3 attacked. Zihark tried to jump out of the way, but his ankle recieved a deep blow by one of the swordsmen. The landing wasn't very soft.

Liberating the Desert City (Open) Empty Re: Liberating the Desert City (Open)

Has Balendin flew through the air; he spotted a figure on a roof that did not look like an archer in Agrabah's army. He flew closer to the figure and found out that it was Shirou. The kid, Chan, said he had saw Shirou around so it was not a surprising to see him. Apparently he was content to just sit there and spectate while people below him fought for their very lives and the lives of all they held dear. Balendin did not have time to chat so he decided to ignore Shirou and continue onward towards the palace.

He landed in the courtyard of the palace and the defenders there ran up to him. They had started relaying the defenses and barricades they had set up along with where the civilians were located. They seemed to have everything under control so Balendin sent them back to there posts. He stood in the courtyard alone.

Shirou waved up to Balendin as he flew by and then got up. He then jumped down from the building (although, jumping from window sill to window sill) and went towards the direction Balendin had come from. Soon, he disappeared from complete sight.

....

"You know, I could kill you now and watch all hell break out," said a voice from behind Balendin. Behind Balendin was a figure garbed in black robes. He had blue hair and icy blue eyes. There was neither a smirk nor frown on his face. His hands were crossed, and his icy gaze examined the warrior in front of him. "After all, you are their leader. Kill the king and his kingdom falls to hell, and all that good jazz, right?"

*oh, and just so you know, there is no way Balendin can connect the Aoi Thief to Shirou, as he has, and I quote (directly from myself): Changes Shirou's appearance to one that's unrecognizable. Puts a special enchantment around Shirou, disguising his presence and being, which means, it would appear as if he had no elements, no scent, and etc... Doesn’t change form in any world except for Atlantica where it provides him with the ability for him to breath underwater (he can only breathe underwater in Atlantica). It also changes his voice to a different pitch, making it unrecognizable as Shirou's original voice.

Zihark saw a figure flying fast, he'd never been so happy to be the size of a toothpick. Zihark grabbed the outstretched arm. He recognized that cloud before. *Flash back to the Wonderland topic* Zihark couldn't surpress his grin. " Kotor, I didn't expect to see you here. How have things been for you since our fight in Wonderland." Zihark managed to hang on to Kotor's hand. Kotor would control their destination from here. Zihark's foot had already stopped bleeding, although he had lost at least a cup of it. His ankle was numb and that would make it hard to walk on for a while, the numbing tended to last as long as he would bleed in a normal situation. "You think you can let me down where you picked me up? I still have to defend the city."

Balendin heard an unfamiliar voice behind him and turned around. He was surprised someone had got that close to him without picking up their scent. Even though it looked weird; he sniffed the air. There was no scent at all. Everything had a scent. There was only two possible explanations for this that Balendin could think of. The first was that this person was not really here; possibly an illusion from a hidden spellcaster. The second was this person had some sort of spell or magical item that blocked his scent. A likely explanation was that this whole get up was a disguise; even this appearance. Someone was trying to hide his or her identity. It made sense.

"It would be a pretty good plan, kid, if I was some sort of King. I just set the wheels in motion. Killing me at this point would be pretty useless. Should have attacked me earlier."

Balendin made a shooing motion.

"You should probably scurry back from where ever you came from before you get yourself hurt."
