Sand and Sun? No fun. [Open] Empty Sand and Sun? No fun. [Open]

This.. blows..

With an irritated grunt, the nineteen year old half demon, rubbed her hands vigorously together in an attempt to rid her smooth skin of the rough grains of sand that stuck to them. Even when she was perched twenty feet above the ground, the tiny rock particles still found a way to get to her. Of all the places she had to end up, it just happened to be Agrabah-- the city that was literally made of sand. Normally, it didn't take much to irritate Aylin, but when something did, her temper was set off fast.

But, it wasn't all her fault she had such a short fuse. At least, that's what she liked to think.

There had been numerous occasions in the past where people had told her she needed to shape up, learn to control herself more. Oh, but if only they understood. On the outside, Aylin appeared to be a normal human being. She walked like one, she talked like one, she'd even grown up like one, but when it really came down to it-- she wasn't one. At least not fully. Aylin, by lineage, was half demon. Half reckless, angry, hotheaded monster that she had little to no control over. There were times when it came in handy, mostly when she needed to find a way to survive. But normally, it was a heavy burden for her to bear, even when she convinced herself she was used to the lifestyle. In all truth, it was something she'd never get used to on her own. Aylin needed help, but who was out there to help her now?

Sighing now, the girl stood up, the auburn red strands of her hair falling behind her shoulders while the constant breeze ruffled her clothing. She donned her usual decorative and cropped kimono that stopped mid-thigh to show off her newly tanned legs. Thanks to the sun, she'd taken on a color that was unusual for her, yet it still complimented her appearance nicely. Aylin was just happy she wasn't lobster red instead, then she really would hate the sun here, more so than she did already. Because the city was planted right in the middle of the desert, it was always hot during the day. Hot and sticky-- highly uncomfortable, so the breeze was welcomed because it kept the girl at a reasonable temperature so she wouldn't get too irritated. Aylin shifted her gaze down to the streets below, her violet irises only watching the people as they walked by, living out their daily lives and conversing with others while she stayed hidden among the rooftops. She only came down to eat and drink when she needed to, finding any other reason was rare for she wanted to avoid the overly perverse guards that liked to follow her around if they caught sight of her.

"Speaking of the damn devils.." Aylin's eyebrow twitched upwards as a trio of palace guards came strutting down the alleyway, their burly hands resting haughtily on their swords. Her curious look soon became suspicious. Palace guards rarely made rounds in this area, so why were they now? Aylin crouched back down and began to scrutinize their actions more closely, waiting for something interesting to happen.

Sand and Sun? No fun. [Open] Empty Re: Sand and Sun? No fun. [Open]

Bennett sprinted across the sand while trying to keep his balance,he skidded around a corner and continued straight forward, dodging around random people that seemed to just get in his way.As the bystanders were an obstacle to him they were also and obstacle for the guards chasing after him.Bennett shifted past people in contrast to the palace guards shoving them.First priority was to lose those guards before they tried to decapitate him in public, well decapitation was what he assumed would happen. He wasn't well informed about the world, actually he wasn't informed at all besides the fact that the place was hot and sandy. The young man decided to change his tactics, he ran towards a building with a low roof and managed to climb up the side by using his momentum to jump upwards pushing against the wall and made it over the ledge.

Bennett took a moment to see if the guards were progressing on him,and so they were, but they didn't try to pursue him on the roofs, instead they stayed on ground level. Those guards were starting to be a big problem to him,so if he couldn't outrun 'em,hide from them. The only thoughts that were occurred in his mind was him thinking curse words at his luck.He used a running start to leap from one roof from to another, until he abruptly stopped from leaping an improbable distance. He thought better and looked for an alternate route. He spotted a long board leading from the rooftop he stood on to another that was higher.Carefully,Bennett balanced himself one foot after another at jogging speed until he reached solid ground on someones house. Then proceeded to push the board he was on off the ledge.

The palace guards seemed to have given up from following him,and went back to their duties.

The nineteen year old sighed in relief,"All that commotion all for some apples," he conceived.Suddenly he looked about himself,"Ah crap, must've dropped them".Well,at least he wasn't hungry anymore from all that running he did.He scratched his short, white hair and adjusted his glasses.Things would've been easier if he didn't forget his wallet back at home.Bennett brushed some sand off of his clothes, which was a white T-shirt and jeans. He heard that white reflected the suns heat, which was doing well so far.It was a surprise not to find himself all sweaty,he was pretty decent in not getting soaked in perspiration.

He observed the sky to find the bright sun glaring at him.But a figure blocked it's glare and he made out the shape of a girl on a rooftop higher up than him.Bennett let his curiousity take over him and started to climb up to her.In a short 2 minutes he climbed over the edge to find a abnormal looking girl, which was about what he expected.Bennett hadn't found anything suspicious of the stranger yet, well maybe her looks, but that thought was shoved away in his mind.Bennett simply greeted her with a "Hi."

"Hi."

The voice rang out from somewhere behind the girl, the sound causing her ears to perk up in surprise. Aylin had repositioned herself so her forearms were resting on the ledge of the building, while the rest of her slender body leaned against the stone wall. Since it was light in color, the rock was cool against her body, so Aylin welcomed the position as she tried observing the happenings down below. Though, the longer she had been staring at the guards, the more relaxed they became. Perhaps I missed it? She had shrugged her tanned shoulders and went about her hobby of people watching.

That is-- until she'd heard someone else's voice.

"Hm?" Aylin turned slightly, sliding her arms off the cool stone ledge as her violet eyes landed on the source of the sound.

It was a male. Human, by outwards appearance. And he looked to be about the same age as she was, maybe a bit older. Aylin was never good at guessing things like this. But, nonetheless, he didn't look very.. Well, he didn't look like he wanted to hurt her from the get-go. Not that Aylin was much of a social butterfly, but there were always those people who approached with too much caution, it was basically hostile. But, this man didn't seem at all menacing to her, and the fact that he greeted her somewhat reassured her guess. But, one could still never be too trusting at first glance, that was a bad habit Aylin had trouble fixing. Even though they were scarce, Aylin enjoyed the company of a good friend from time to time. Now, this man may not have been her good friend, but she still would take interest in someone who addressed her with such a simple, yet polite greeting.

"Hello, there," the auburn haired girl turned to lean her back against the ledge, so she was facing the male. She raised a slender hand in his direction, a soft smile twitching the corner of her lips upwards as she waved at him, "I didn't hear you come up. You're pretty sneaky there," Aylin chuckled a bit.

"Thanks," he walked up to the ledge and leaned on it with his hands.Bennett looked at her,"That's a nice kimono," he complimented slightly smiling. That was pretty much what he could come up with off the top of his head.It was somewhat unusual to hear another 'Hello' instead of a 'who are you?',which proves that people don't need to act adverse to others. He tried to see what she was previously examining below before he came up there, but found only people.Bennett shrugged slightly, then faced her and asked "What were you looking at?".Bennett's body was felt very calm, enough that he could feel the gentle breeze that carried specks of sand with it,things would be more pleasant if there was actually an ocean around there, but that didn't seemed very likely for hundreds of miles.

He noticed that the girl's eyes were violet, which gave him a hint that there was something peculiar about her, whether it be supernatural powers or a sign of a that she wasn't quite human. But he really couldn't tell with his limited knowledge on that subject.Though if he was curious enough he would ask directly, but that was probably be rude to ask of her when they had just met.His intentions with her were nonexistent, though she intrigued him.She seemed nice enough, enough to be friendly.Perhaps she would prove to be an interesting character.

Bennett looked over the ledge again to see some palace guards passing through."Those guards can sure be annoying," he thought out loud.
