11.1.2017 - Kingdom Hearts RP is now closed. We'd like to thank everyone who invested time on the site for contributing to a wonderful experience which lasted for many years. All stories must eventually end, but while this may seem bittersweet, it can't be stressed enough what a pleasure it was to create and share them with you all. Goodbye everyone.

Hugo is a product of his environment - arrogant, charming and outgoing. There is little in his life that he has had to worry about, everything that he has ever wanted has been provided and it shows. He takes everything for granted, whether that be people or possessions, and values his own needs and desires above anything else.

Despite these apparent flaws, Hugo is saved by his demeanour. People are drawn to the young socialite to the point where he is never deprived of something to do. Whether it be for his wealth or magnetic personality is unsure, but it is not uncommon for him to be surrounded by an entourage of hangers-on. This, however, is often brought to an abrupt end when Hugo's sharp wit gets the better of him and playful banter turns to serious insult. Nonetheless, any offended party is easily replaced - contributing to the toxic cycle of Hugo simply never learning his lesson.

| History |

"Bonjour mon amour."

An accident by his father's standards. A coup by his mother's.

A star is born.

Born to an extremely wealthy Parisian businessman and his mistress in La Cité des Cloches, Hugo's life is a testament to the dedication of a gold digger. His mother, Sabine, was as ruthless as she was calculated. She knew Hugo's father Louis would choose her - after all, he had no choice. His first wife was barren, and though he did not think he particularly wanted a child he would not abandon one of his own once it was born. Such an action was inconceivable for a man of his standing.

Preparations for his birth were made swiftly. Louis' wife was divorced and her silence quietly paid for, then a fine house was bought in the heart of Paris - an excellent place for any child to be reared. Hugo's parents were surprisingly happy, despite the egregious lack of love they shared. After all, she was exceptionally proud of her entrapment and he quietly contented by the thought of an incoming heir.

And so Hugo came to be - not into the welcoming embrace of a loving family, but as the ultimate checkmate his mother needed. When he learned of her cunning he would not resent her for it. In fact, it was the thing he most admired about the woman.

His young life was just what someone might expect from the situation. Cries were met with nurses and carers, his parents were much too busy to deal with the needs of an infant. As he grew, tantrums were pacified by coddling and every tear shed was redeemed by a gift. Needless to say, Hugo was very, very spoiled.

It would be a lie to say Louis and Sabine did their best, but they did provide for their child and they truly did love him, despite everything. He attended the best schools, was a member of the most elite social circles and any problem he had was swept away with a silver spoon.

His father especially had a soft spot for his only son, so much so that he presented him with a very exciting proposition on his eighteenth birthday...
