Re: Rotating Worlds Discussion

Quarterly and Seasonal are almost exactly the same thing.

Seasonal is per season, every 3 months (Dec - March, March - June, June - September, September - Dec).

Quarterly is per quarter (Jan - March, April - June, July - September, October - December).

Same amount per year, the latter is just contained within a year as opposed to overlapping with previous/next years. Which means it flows a bit better in the year and is easier to track, technically speaking.

My proposal was just to move more yearly into quarterly, not to change the rotation rate individually.

at that point, we might as well just have all of them being quarterly. my intention, or at least interpretation, was just three months with the first month being the first month of the year as seasons isn't so much referring to an actual season.

So 5 perma worlds, and the rest are quarterly? I like it, but maybe split half of the quarterly to disappear at certain times. because 10 worlds going off the map at once just wouldn't be fluid imo.

not sure tbh, both have their merits. currently thinking five perma worlds, four yearly worlds, and four quarterly worlds. yearly worlds have the benefit of having long arcs on them while also not being stucvk with them forever
