We should reimplement the synth stat, or compound the current stats and play with specifics via niches.

I prefer the latter, but that'll generally lead to weaker characters. i.e

I prefer how dynamic the third option would make the characters, as we'd get to play with niches more and actually make sacrifices to gain benefits.

I'd also like to propose we drop levels (the multipliers) and only use a 1 - 10 scale. For example, if you're starting off as a normal, healthy human, you'd start off with a 1 in everything.

These are just random ideas I'm tossing around.

Synth Stat would determine the capability of someone to utilize and create items of extraordinary power I assume? Is there more or less to it?

Pretty much, although I do want to openly clarify (despite your implication), that if someone with a 10 created an item and someone with a 1 used it, the person with a 1 would be much less efficient. Whereas, another person with a 10 would be able to fully utilize the created item.

This leads to a different dynamic than magic when you start exploring it in character.

Even if it's not its own stat, I'd imagine it still exists in the universe and could be compounded. Just wanted to throw a couple ideas out, y'know.

Although, I'm still more in favor of compounded stats and having niches play a more prominent role in eccentricity.
