Starting off (open)

Post by Nero~ on July 24th 2014, 1:53 am

Port royal, the world in which pirates are famous, and hunted, a place in which a young man could find some business, or just get some drinks. This day, the sword for hire, Xern  the new blood in the world, is sitting out side a pug with a glass of tea, watching the stars, his sword hidden beneath his cloak. Next to him, was a for hire sign.

There was nothing that Belysa hated more than pirates. She was a woman of privilege and high taste...these low-life blaggards were hardly up to her standard of pleasurable company. They were positively filthy, smashed beyond belief in many cases, and far too few of them had bathed in the last century or so. Even her two attendants who had volunteered to go on this journey with her were glancing at one another tentatively behind their pure white hoods, their steps not far from that of their beloved icon. It was their belief that if anything should go wrong, there was no doubt that Belysa, the Holy Knight, would save them from it.

That was of course, completely misleading. their idea of their fearless and unbudging leader was simply crafted gibberish. The whole concept of what they believed her to be was everything she had told others in order to further craft herself as a living legend...a symbol of hope that people would follow blindly in an army against the foul pestilence that was Darkness...
And it was this that Belysa was depending on. Her reputation as an undefeated heroine had brought several thousands to her call already, and her numbers were all the more ensured to grow with each world she visited. The Heartless and the Nobodies plagued the worlds and brought ample amounts of pain to the residents they so harassed, making it all the easier to bend people to fighting alongside her against them.

"These monsters took everything from me, and so I shall take everything from them in turn," Belysa thought to herself, peering from behind her helm at a couple of washed-out sailors. They'd obviously just come back from a long voyage, as they reeked of poor-vintage spirits and filth...it was hardly any concern to her. Her thoughts were focused entirely on recruiting fighters to her cause. The more bodies there were to throw at the everlasting enemy...the more that the wretched beasts would suffer losses. Perhaps the people following her were no warriors, but they had all the power of light and revenge fueling their strength...strength, that would be impossible to withstand.

She ignored her two cowering attendants, who were staring dumbfoundedly at a man easily clocking in at six feet chewing on some form of weed, and spitting less than eloquently on the docks as they passed. Belysa merely put up a calming hand to the pair, urging them silently to be resilient. As fate would have it, her eyes noticed a pub up the street....a place where fighters would often come to settle down and enjoy their free time....the perfect place to find someone to aid her and her cause.

As the woman and her attendants looked upon all of the..less than savory citizens of this world, it was more than likely that Belysa would see the opening of what could only be described as a door of light. And what came out of that corridor was a cloaked figure that quickly fell to its hands and knees, audibly gasping as its hands grabbed at the hood and pulled at the cloak, the garment turning into...a giant dragonfly?

Jesus Anzu..give me some warning the next time you do that! The white haired boy said as he sat up, sitting on his knees as he looked around at the port. Wait...this isn't Twilight Town...Anzu...where in Fate's name did you take me?! He yelled at the being that was buzzing around his head, his left eye twitching in his frustration. He knew that attempting to talk to the creature was pointless, since it couldn't speak, but it was somewhat helpful at removing some of his irritation. He sighed once more as he rose to his feet, his attire far more..colorful than that of most others.

He sighed as he rose to his feet, a small flash of light almost acting a small beacon of light in the night as his pistol and Katana appeared on both sides of his waist. He had no clue where he was, but he wouldn't learn where..wherever he was actually was by just standing around. He waved a hand slightly, causing the giant insect that was buzzing around his head to open another corridor with a pop before flying through it and closing it with another pop of lower pitch. He was now officially at the start of his adventures, and he had no freaking clue how it had happened.

Fire, why was it always, fire. Jace was haveing a small break down of his powers, mainly him catching on fire. running as fast as he could to the water as fast as he could, he ran past a kid in a cloak who seemed to have a sign, not wanting to stop in fear of being burned alive, Jace quickly speed up running past a group, who had a weird animal. As he jumped into the sea from the fire he looked behind him seeing some kind of flying beast.

After he had a small swim he climbed out and went to the small group, but stayed a few steps back, crouching and looking towards the flying thing he was intrigued by it.

Xern saw the large crowd gathering around some woman. He decided that it might be promising to find some type of job. Walking up to it he realized it wasn't as small as he thought. The crowd did have some woman though who was in the center.

Xern looked around and finally decided to force his way toward the woman, and as he force his way though he wrote on a note pad, and eventually as he made it toward her, had finished.

The note pad reads: Hello miss and what are you doing?  A crowd gathered as you entered, but why? Is it your paying a large amount of money for some one dead? Or are you hiring a mercenary?

As Belysa's boots fell upon the dark, damp cobblestones outside the street leading to the dreary pub. The moonlight shone eerily across the water, as a large splash was heard, but the armored one ignored it for the most part--it was likely some drunk fool being tossed off the pier for some petty reason or another. One of her white-robbed attendants turned to observe the incident, but was elbowed hard by his counterpart, who motioned for him to pay better attention.

But the false prophet was too busy focusing on the white-haired boy whom she'd just witnessed walking through some sort of portal. Typically this was a sign of the darkness...thick, black corridors in which the tainted used to harbor themselves and the foul Heartless through the worlds. History had shown that the Nobodies, the half-formed creatures too pitiful to be claimed by light or darkness, could also tap into this foul ability...but this...was unlike any sort of passage that she had witnessed.
It was a brilliant white. Light.

Another warrior of the light had shown itself to her. This was a sign...a gift from the Light. This was, without a doubt, a signal to her that it recognized Belysa as a knight for its glorious cause. Tears almost welled up in her eyes behind her helm, but she blinked them back furiously. Her two attendants must've noticed the boy, too, as they were open-mouthed in alarm and awe themselves. A faint light revolved around the boy now, and vanished with a pop into the abyss...but it was clear, the light was with this child. Belysa felt her heart skyrocket into her throat--she could use this boy, this youth of purity, to gain a higher cause for the Holy Army! He didn't appear as much of a fighter, but perhaps there was more to him than mere looks...anybody who could so aptly control the light was not one to be taken so soft.

Belysa waved her pair of white-robed comrades to Takeshi's position, subtly tapping her Mana Drive in case the child decided not to come quietly.
"Rosse. Stewart. Bring the boy to me at once. I wish to have words with him."
Both of the attendants bowed, still obviously stunned by the sudden arrival.
"Of course, Lady Belysa."
"By the Light's will, Lady Belysa."

The woman then began turning her attention now to the man who had held out the notepad for her to view. He was a strangely dressed man for someone of this region, and it was then that she assumed he was no mere sailor. The sign beside him clearly hinted that he was some manner of mercenary...and although they were less than savory types of persons, the False Prophet would rather have had an ally of a neutral fellow than another enemy to slay. The fewer corrupt people there were in the worlds, the more there would be to enjoy the glorious new order.

Slowly, folding her arms, she sat at the table, making sure to keep her appearance as imposing as possible, cocking her helmeted head with interest.
"I have interest in warriors who might wish to extinguish a common enemy," Belysa replied, nonchalantly. Suddenly, she leaned in closely, her chin resting on two hands.
"The question is, are you prepared for the foe that you would face if I paid you the sum for your services?"

Rosse was trembling a little beneath her hood. That boy had just popped out of nowhere, and it certainly had caught Lady Belysa's attention....although her mistress didn't seem particularly inclined to check out the situation herself. Of course, she shouldn't be bothered to, Rosse thought. After all, the Lady was here to hire mercenaries for the purpose of training their armies better, not investigate a child, even if he was strange.
"It's not Sora, if that's what you're wondering," Stewart said, suddenly. His dark eyes peered out from beneath the rim of his bleached attire, although they were crinkled in a smile. "Much too short. Hair's not spikey enough."
Immediately she felt relieved. Sora, the Keyblade Master...to think that someone like that could have possibly returned, that would have been a massive boon for the cause of her dear Lady Belysa.

Still, she couldn't help but be nervous in front of the boy. It was Rosse's first time as an attendant during a mission outside of Radiant Garden...and seeing something like this only made her long for the safety of her home. They'd already paused in front of him now, and at the same time, both Stewart and Rosse bowed to the youth.
Rosse was more comfortable with Stewart around...he was an experienced warrior, who'd lost his daughter to the Heartless not long ago...and he was a hellish fighter. He loved Lady Belysa quite dearly, and served her with utter devotion--he even claimed to have seen her face, although Rosse didn't really believe him. None of the acolytes ever saw her face. Some believed she was scarred, but it didn't matter to Rosse...Lady Belysa was a brave, noble Keyblade Warrior...one who would save them all, and lead them to victory.

"Greetings," Stewart said, his voice deep and powerful, much like he was. "I am Acolyte Stewart, and this is Acolyte Rosse. We are the attendants of the Lady Belysa, who has extended you an invitation to dine with her at the local pub."
"W-We insist that you follow us to her, young sir," Rosse stammered, smiling sheepishly. "Her Ladyship should not be kept waiting."
And if he didn't comply...Lady Belysa herself would simply have to be alerted...

...all sorts of pandemonium would ensue then.

While he hadn't moved away from where he was standing, Takeshi wasn't quite paying attention to the area immediately in front of him, causing the sudden voices before him to make him jump as his hand went straight to his pistol while his head snapped to those before him, causing him to hesitantly let go of the handle of his pistol.

Apparently these two wished for him to follow them, someone wanted to talk to him. Strange..who in this place could possibly have known him? Guardian, Standby. he thought as he nodded to the two people before him. Alright..I suppose just talking couldn't hurt..lead the way. He said with a small, nervous smile. He didn't like the massive differences in religious symbols that he was seeing right now. Their cloaks were white, no detail, the less nervous one had a sword on his person, and Takeshi could clearly see a sun etched into the pommel of it. His guardian was now awake, which the observant person could see by the quick flash of color in his shadow, the shape of his body on the ground changed from black to white before quickly changing back to regular black. He was ready for whatever was to come.

He would follow the two Acolytes, sticking only a few feet behind them, a hand sticking close to Promise, his pistol. He was very nervous. He felt that he was walking into a trap. He had no way of knowing this however. He just had to hope for the best at this point.

Jace was interested on why there was a flying reptile, or was, he got distracted by the two people with capes, very flappy capes. Jace was interested aswell by the massing of people. As he approached  his gloved hands started to catch flame, and Jace quickly gets rid of the gloves tossing them across the crowd, not really aiming at anything, but it's direction was bad, it was heading towards the center of the crowd, and would eventually hit the center, where the woman was.

Xern looked at the lady as if she was a senile old hag, be prepared for the enemy. If she paid for the sum. How would he know unless he tried to convince her to take him.quickly writeing down on his note pad.

When he show the note pad to her, it reads:I am prepared for anything, for the right price, I don't care if it means killing a innocent bystander, as long as it's worth the money and time. But I have a question what is your offer, and what would I face.

Belysa wasn't enjoying the look that this mercenary was giving her, but even she couldn't deny the spark of ability lying in his gaze. You could tell a warrior, a mage, a scholar, an innocent, a killer...from simply looking into their eyes. The old saying that the eyes were windows to the soul might not have been all that exaggerated, she thought. No, there was a distinct appearance in the way they locked eyes. He was no charlatan, and so the reason for doing business was still there.

Cocking her head at an angle, to make the armor seem more lifelike and less rigid, the Synthesizer drew away from the young man now, folding her arms across her breastplate.
"I'm sure you know about the Heartless," she began, a hint of disdain in her tone. "I am the Holy Knight Belysa, Keyblade Warr--"

Stewart saw the young man throwing the firey object before he even realized what was going on, and mentally kicked himself for being so foolish. He was Lady Belysa's attendant! He and Rosse were supposed to be watching out for these exact same situations, and instead, they'd been caught up escorting this boy! His partner shouted in alarm, grasping at their escort's wrist, half-shield at the ready in case there was another attack, rushing him towards the Lady Belysa's location. Stewart felt his blood broil with fury. How dare someone attack Lady Belysa?! Were the agents of darkness so daft to think they could assault their leader without consequence?!
Cracking his knuckles, Stewart charged at the redhead, his blade beneath his robes until the very last second, sending a vicious swipe at his torso in a flurry of white cloth and rage.
"Yield, Dark Agent, so that I might slice you to ribbons!"

Rosse's heart was racing in her throat as she weaved her way through the terrorized crowd. Something flaming had been thrown across the mass of people and now, everybody was in a frenzied panic. She was doing her best to keep track of the boy Lady Belysa had sent her and Stewart to get...and she knew without a doubt that her partner was probably getting ready to chop the offender into tiny cubes of Darkness and meat.
"C-Come this way, please!"

Well. Belysa was half-amused, and half-astounded. Who was stupid enough to attack her in the middle of broad moonlight, in a crowded place, with two of her attendants by her side? She almost wanted to fire a quick burst of magic in the direction of wherever this fiery projectile had come from, but had no idea who had thrown it currently. Out of the corner of her vision she could see Stewart rushing some young man at quite the distance, and couldn't help but smile. Stewart was perhaps one of her best acquisitions over the years....a brave and loyal man from the halls of Olympus Coliseum, he'd lost a daughter to the Heartless, and traveled all the way to Radiant Garden to hear her speech. He was far from inexperienced at a blade, though he was still little more than a potter-turned-gladiator in his life back home....she quietly admired his dedication....not to mention his strength.
Ah, yes. That projectile...

Almost in a manner that could have been translated to bored, Belysa withdrew her sword and in a single flourish, cut through the flaming glove. The former craftswoman wasn't one to boast about her skills at the blade, particularly in the past, but even she realized that all of her constant practice was beginning to pay off. Since that day she'd lost all she had once held so dear, Belysa had trained to become a better warrior...to smite her enemies...and it was slowly adding up.
She glanced at her weapon--the Radical Faith, she'd named it--a plain, simple sword forged into the shape and manner of a Keyblade. A person who had never seen a Keyblade before could have no reason to disclaim it as the real thing, but any soul who HAD come across, or even held such a weapon, could have little trouble with telling it apart. It was a rather flashy weapon, the best sword she'd ever made perhaps, and it certainly did the job well even in her inexperienced hands.

Then again, Belysa had made the weapons for all of her attendants--Stewarts Eclipsing Sun blade, Rosse's half-shield, Caedo's katana, Dagger's....daggers...There was little doubt in her mind that she had few equals in the art of Synthesizing. The practice had consumed her life, even at a young age, and though the memories of the past were painful to relive, the motions identical to those as when she'd been young and happy...Belysa could not bear to give up her natural gift with creation. It was part of her, despite everything. In the end, she was, and always would be, a L'Blanc at heart.

Realizing she'd spaced off for a moment after demonstrating her dexterity, Belysa placed the fake Keyblade on the table, and sat down again, with a shrug.
"My apologies. As I was saying...I am a Keyblade Warrior, and I have sworn my life to destroying all Darkness plaguing these worlds and its denizens. I am in need of those capable of fighting to combat alongside me...and I am quite willing to pay a handsome sum for your loyalty...and your obedience."
