One of the most unique worlds within this universe, The Land of Dragons. A place, that still held on to the traditional ties of simplicity, without the technological luxuries many other worlds have come to enjoy. It is filled to the brim with its own uniqueness not only in culture, but scenery as well.  As it stands, those lucky enough to see this place,  could take solace in its majesty from the high mountain peaks, to the wide, open plains, to the roaring waters that ran along their narrow paths throughout the countryside.

However, those new to this world would find that while it did hold its own hostilities that would offset the peace. Heartless, vile creatures of the dark run wild within this vastly untamed wilderness. Mindless animals that loved nothing more than to act only on instinct. To attack any and all without remorse. Man, woman, child, it mattered little to them, for what they desired most lay right within the chest of their victims. Hearts, they couldn't get enough of them. Lives would come to ruin whenever they were involved, all in hope that they would have their hunger sated.

To make matters worse, the varying types of heartless were astounding. One moment you may be faced with small black monsters the size of small children, the next armored monstrosities that rivaled a normal human in height and power. Very intimidating indeed, the need to be cautious is blatant and those that realize this act accordingly. None wish to see one another harmed by these things that hold allegiance only to themselves.

In spite of the rather insidious nature of this foreign enemy, the nation that rose up throughout the land prospers. Its people, occupying villages both large and booming, or small and isolated, live their lives to the best of their ability. They try their hardest not to be put off by the threat looming around every corner. But, there was something occurring that could help take their minds off of things.

The Land of Dragons was undergoing a change. The first signs of autumn begins its advance through the vast countryside. That lovely transformation, is what the Black Knight has been allowed to witness first hand as he makes his way down a single dirt laden path. The climate was losing its harsh edge, giving way to the comfortable temperatures that go hand in hand with this time of year.

However, with the surrounding area looking exactly the same in all means aside from a few fallen pieces of bamboo. While it did make things seem rather repetitive, being in a new place still held a sense of wonder for him. This trail, that within a few minutes, would lead him to one of the small villages dotting the countryside.

He was here on a mission, one that would bring him far from home. Clues that were laid bare in his last encounter, would compel him to make his way to this world. While that incident took place nearly a month ago, the desperate fight for his life was still fresh within his mind. He had to thin out the numbers to that special squad of heartless by any means necessary. To have them run amok was something he definitely did not want to see. Xoen knew naught how many made their way here, or if that only one among their ranks took up residence in this place. He only hoped that Yima wouldn't mind his extended leave of absence. After all, he needed some time away after having to deal with those three madmen...

When he finally made his way into the clearing, he eyes scan his surroundings. This one village in particular, was nothing more than a few dozen buildings. But, the lusciously thick bamboo forest surrounding it on all sides, would give it its own appeal. Nothing could be seen for miles around, not with the forest covering it. Who knew just how far the next town was, or just wear the only other path in this village led? The only way to find out was to press on.

However, Xoen, had a reason for being here in this place. This particular little oasis was known to be a hub for travelers who arrived here via gummi ship. Even now he could see various people, their clothes unlike those of the natural inhabitants, move about, their own goals set in mind. The various faces all held their own unique appearances. Some showing expressions of joy, others of worry. A few commingle with one another, while others move about, their minds elsewhere.

In hopes of moving that along, he makes his way over to what appears to be the central hub of activity for this village. Four stalls, each with their own unique wares, stand out among the various buildings. A small billboard could be seen to the left of each, all littered with bulletins for various quests. Instead of simply putting his flyers among the rest, he buttons up his paletot coat, so that those around would see his emblem emblazon on his left breast. Taking his place next to one of the postings, he crosses his hands over one another in front, and stands straight, Xoen turned his gaze to populace, waiting to see if any were willing to approach him to aid him in his quest.

But who among those would be willing to have their stories intertwine with his? Who else would be willing to risk their lives for the betterment of the worlds as a whole? Only time would tell...

Not too far off from where the Black Knight stood, there would be raised voices, one dominating over the other. Around the corner of one of the stalls, a young lady with braided lavender hair was being shooed way by an elderly Chinese woman who had a look of annoyance on her wrinkled face. Now standing in the center of the hub among all the people, some of to which were shaking their heads at her as they continued to walk on by, Penelope leaned to the side, slumped over in what would appear to be exhaustion.

Sighing with a slight dip of her head, she brought it back up to look around for her next target. All she wanted was a nap. That was all, nothing much. But none of these meanie shop clerks would let her nap in their stores... or anywhere, for that manner.

Well, Freya. She looked to the doll in her left hand, bringing it up closer for her to properly look at it. I guess we don't get to nap anywhere around here...

With another sigh, Penelope looked up and around, something catching her gaze. Tall man... with a..beard? Her face lit up as she shoved her way through the crowd as quick as she could.

Mr. Xoey! Mr. Xoey~ She screamed until she finally stood before the Black Knight with a grin stretching from one ear to the other. Hai hai Mr. Xoey. What are you doing here today?

Freya was behind her, stuck between Penelope's laced hands and smacking each of her sides as she spun at the waist, looking up at Xoen.

The engine of a gummi ship roared though out the skies of this world of eastern tradition, its fire setting the clear blue skies ablaze with red and yellow in vibrant shades of light before crisping itself into a black smoke, the force of the thrust pushed downward as the air ripped itself through the bamboo tress before darkening the tall grasses. Touching down the landing gear creaked itself loudly before flatting on the earth, holding the entire weight of the ship still as while slowly becoming silent. Lights dazzled the cockpit in sequence as the online computer calculated the environment checks quickly, showing on her screen the common composure of this atmosphere and level of gravity in great graphically detail. Just from the numbers it didn’t seem all that different from her own world thus it was safe, hitting the key lock the pilot finally unlocked the glass like hatch of the roof. Tasting this world’s air for the first time as her lungs filed with it, the bright rays of the day brushed against her long bluish sliver hair that danced along each thread in a radiant dance of shining marvel. Gazing her deep blue eyes squinted a moment there to adjust but their peer then into the discolored greenery around her. Though vivid with plant life engorged the scene it appeared this area will be transition into the colder sessions. The kiss of the chilled air also took notice upon her pale skin, it trickled with reaction down her voluptuous body.

She embraced such a change like crossing sounds before snapping back to her fierce expressionless fire, the softness of her muscles faded into the tension of a cautionary solider of light. Liandry stood out from her sit soon after, walking down the hatch as the stairs descend to her pace. The soft cerulean fabric of her long dress encountered the rustling of the bamboo leaves that had yellowed and fallen to the ground, its climbing design upon her breast before dashing into a new texture around her open neckline in an elegant and noble manner.  The huntress took a moment to adjust her hair into a bob underneath her hat, pulling a single bang to freely play at the right side of her doll like face.

Her eyes darted right to left upon standing, gauging little threat to her being here while leaving the shadow of her ship. It clocking itself to hid well within plane sights while she explored her first world outside the comforts of home.  She would understand the people of this world before continuing her mission further. Her ship had taken the madam at the closet living settlement to her landing, a tiny village that didn’t look like either more interesting than a farming work of patched up peasants fleeing to the mountains.  Likely out of either shame or wealth did they flee from any such semblance of wealth which was the latter if Liandry had to guess.  She walked fearless into this little town, caring not for the gazes the fell before her form, noticing only their moments as she walked past.

It was odd to see the contrast of clothing, their lower rendition of Chinese style to her high class European made them seem so much less in her eyes but still life she would need to save nether the less. Consuming forces of darkness were never a joke to be taken lightly.  Crossing with just an inaudible grace she came across the market, the wares tested her attention for a bit but nothing more than a fleeting thought and delay to her motion. It was then Liandry notice the quest board near one of the stalls, it was a bit out of place but she guess this is what they called progress over her, which any step forward even a toe was better then nothing. Following this feeling she made her way over to it as a child screamed out at a stranger as an informal greeting.

She paid it with little heed.

Reading her thoughts filled with the grammar mistakes and poor structure of each request, ranging from simple gathering herbs jobs to slaying nearby animals and bring them to venders. Simple work for simple works it she thought. But a man there, standing beside board seemed much more out of place. His appearances appealed an out of worldly body much like herself, the child like heir greeting him also didn’t seem like the olive skin and dirt stained people of this village.  Turning her attention now to this stranger she kept him in clear sight as Xoen could easily do the same to her, paying no mind to the child she stood close to the front, even so far as to bump into this little girl if need be to draw the courtesy  towards the huntress.

“Good sir, does the task thy present here differ from the common wealth’s chores? Or do you merely regurgitate the same mundane work?”

Unoticed Ander sat upon the building across from the three, taking note to every character. A tall attractive, yet rude woman, a small over excited girl, and a mature bearded man. Each looked nothing like the other, and it was exotic to see them all getting along, the stereotypes gave no match to the will of the curious mind.

It would seem all the curiosity was coming from the women while the man kept the task hidden as of the moment. Hearing the conversation wasn't hard for the Amaran, so for now he decided to take his seat.

Wait what?! The guys name is "ZOEY" the hell?

Ander was a little shocked, a girl name on a man body ehh? Very strange... The tall woman's clothes and accent alone gave away a lot about her. Obviously she was European, and by the clothes he guessed she was from one of the Ports?

Heh...

Ander chuckled abit to himself taking note to the fact, that she must have not heard of the news. Of course it would be a surprise if she did, and it would be interesting if she was from the one he and Sirius conquered.

Guess we'll find out later. On to the lavender haired girl.

She wore a unique/semi revealing attire. She also seemed to be low on brain cells and reminded him alot of the girls from the Animes he once watched in Radiant Garden. Of course that was like one of the only worlds with actaul television... Maybe she didn't know that, or maybe she acted like that on purpose? Whatever the reason she was definitely the kind of girl that ended up getting kidnapped and... Never mind that,  she was just the most unique as far as personality went and Ander was already beginning to make sure that each probably had their own sets of secrets.

Jumping from the building and landing on his ass his stood up brushed it off and neared closer to the group staying hidden among the crowed the best he could.

Penelope's high pitch call was quite easy for the black knight to pick up. Turning his head her way he finds the pajama wearing teen to be weaving her way through the crowd and over to him Freya in hand. He held nothing but bad memories of that doll. With it weighing as much as it did it took every bit of strength he had to present her with her missing toy. Even now his muscles remember the strain they went through.  However, seeing that infectious smile stretch across her face, he too couldn't help but mimic her. In doing so those horrid memories of the doll began to fade from his mind altogether. Soon enough when she made it to where he stood he was showing off his pearly whites just as  Penelope was.

"Well hey Pen, it's good to see you again." He says, his baritone voice rising up above the nearby stall owners. As he spoke, and bent down to be more at her level he tries to hide his embarrassment for the pet name. That too caused yet another memory to resurface. One involving what almost became a night of twisted rewards. Seeing Penelope in such a revealing set of clothes, if you could even call them that, was a little too much for him. Her calling him Xoey was just the icing on that cake in that intimate moment. While it did leave him with a feeling of discomfort, he was relieved when she backed down after his refusal, instead speaking with him about events past. All in all it was a rather relaxing evening at the inn, one that just might repeat should she be interested in why he was here today.

He was about to speak, that is until another figure caught his eye. It was nothing more than a passing glance at first, that is until he saw her height in relativity to those that moved around her. This woman, who stood quite tall among the rank and file, who acted as such a stark contrast to the dirtied rags the men and women in this village accepted as clothing. It was as though her refined movements through the crowd made them seem less and less appealing by the second.

The dirt that stained their faces, the torrent of sweat glistening off their faces even though the crisp winds that blew through the trees, and even the tears in their shirts, pants, skirts, and hats became more pronounced. If she radiated beauty, nobility, and grace, she forced those near her to stand out with the opposite. However, despite her fluid, practiced steps, the elegant ware, her luscious brown hair, the set of cold cyans hidden in the shade of her head would offset this woman in her entirety. In a way it came off to him like she didn't even want to be here. What would have been a woman who would have left him speechless has instead given him question. The first of which would be why she was approaching him?

When he stood straight to acknowledge her, he found immediately that while she seemed to be the epitome of perfection. Her beautiful pale skin, the fine handmade wear of european design, her noble posture, all of that was eclipsed in an instant by such a simple act. She bumped Penelope out of the way as though she didn't even exist in her eyes. That, in turn with her harsh words, left Xoen a bit hesitant. In spite of her actions though, he would choose to ignore it for the moment. Instead he would answer both Penelope's question and this woman's.

Like those who approached him in the streets, he offered her a greeting he used for the many citizens of Radiant Garden. He bent his right arm, and placed it horizontally over his body just below his breast. Then he gave a slight bow before standing straight. Though her manners were lacking, he found it to be a pleasant surprise to find someone who could rival him in stature. Offering the two women a smile he began with his explanation.

"Miss," he pauses before turning his attention back to his friend, "Penelope, I Xoen, a member of the Black Knights, have come to this world today hunting a particular creature: a heartless. A rarity even among its own kind." He stops for a moment, making sure that both sets of eyes are on him.

"A monster of the dark that has been allowed to live for far too long, giving it plenty of time to evolve and improve. This thing attacked me with three others of its kind many months ago on another world." He frowns, his memory of that fateful fight alongside Tororu still fresh in his mind. "When all four work together they prove to be far too powerful for even the most experienced hunter."

"Then, one of the four attacked me and the other two in my group just a month ago on my home world. Just one alone was a handful, and sadly after an hour of combat, it was able to escape despite being dealt a devastating blow." A terrifying night indeed. The dilapidated walls of Villain's Vale proved to weigh heavily in the brown scarf's favor. Allowing his clones to run amok, further ruining an already ruined castle.

"I've been able to track one of them here, to The Land of Dragons. I know not which, but that is unimportant. What is important is that I find this creature and destroy it before it can rejoin with the other members of its clan. If I can thin out their numbers it will make ridding them that much easier."

The backpack weighs heavily upon his body. The straps of which are starting to dig through even his coat. He came prepared to camp out if necessary. A tent built for four occupants, four sleeping bags, a dozen containers of food and drink, a means to make a fire, among many other necessities. He knew that those heartless wouldn't stay close to civilization so a lot of travel would be needed, Xoen wished to be prepared for anything and everything. He'd be sure to let Penelope and this mysterious woman know that as well, so that way they would take time to gather whatever supplies they need.

"I'm here to gather those interested in aiding me in this task. To help disperse any thoughts of worry, I know enough about them to discern which one we would be up against should I find enough evidence. However, this will be no easy quest. We may be hunting this thing for days, it may have lesser heartless that it'll send our way to weaken us. If either of you choose to accept I suggest gathering information on its whereabouts if you can, along with purchasing any supplies needed." Finally offering the two a smile he ends his explanation with a question.

"So, does that sound like something that interests either of you?"

Liandry’s mouth cracked a tiny smile on her right side of its tip, even so far raising her eye brow at an broken arch, a slight glimmer of pleasure sparkling from her soulless eyes.  She blinked right after with a slow brush down before an even slower raise again, returning to her more well-known and suited scowling expression and tone.  Liandry tipped her head in responses in turn while bending her knees outward as her right foot sweepted behind the other while holding her dress out from her body just a bit to show the proper respect.  Returning in a neutral stance her back reformed in a perfect line as her sights jetted back at Penelope for a second before turning them back at Xoen. Holding her hands cupped one over the other while they rested hanging the huntress then took in a deep breath.

“Very well Good knight, consider me your partner in this endeavour. I am Liandry Vandesdelca Isis, I am looking forward to this quest, ridding the worlds of the weakness of human heart is the one goal in this life of mine. On my word I shall not disappoint you. If you are ready to allow the proceedings then I shall inquire around this village all it has to offer in supplies and information as you wish it”

She then turned towards the child once more, pondering to herself the myriads of meanings of her being there as well. Taking notice of the way he seemed so relaxed, easier going then the way Xoen addressed her and with such a informal greeting, it brewed only ale of  intoxicating curiosity. Liandry questioned this man’s resolve however, looking after the youth he appeared to be attached to so heavily. This sir appeared to be intending to bring this odd lassie along to his dangerous mission, for what reasons she dreaded to think he would be so easily going as to flaunt such a distasteful kink. Maybe they were blood? Could that have been the reason he being so relaxed while on duty? Still the behaviour was appalling at the lack of focus and work ethics in her eyes.

“Sir I must inquire if you do intent to bring along the child on this venture as well, if this is such a grave matter then adding the extra burden might of child care might not be in your best interest despite whatever kinship you two have. In protest I cannot condole placing the innocent in harm’s way in any manner with as much importance as this mission riding on our shoulders ”

Being pushed out of the way, Penelope turned to face the woman who spoke to Xoen, who acted as though her being there was nothing. She couldn't quite put into words all the emotions she was feeling, but she knew for sure that this lady wasn't very nice. Standing behind her and holding Freya close to her chest, Penelope's eyebrow twitched. She was talking to Xoey first. It isn't nice to cut in line.

However, when the Black Knight addressed both her question and the rude lady's, Penelope turned to face him with sparkling eyes, a grin spreading across her face. To capture and beat up the bad guys? If it had anything to do with the same bad guys that captured her, then she was all for it. Hopping back and forth between her feet, her excitement was made obvious. She'd help Xoey beat the bad guys!

Me too! Me too! I'll help you get 'em~! Penelope pranced in front of Liandry, standing right between her and Xoen. But upon hearing the woman's second comment about herself, Penelope's smile faded. Slowly turning to face Laindry, she looked up at her with pinkish-red eyes and a bewildered expression. A child? Really?

Upon making the eye contact she sought, Penelope smiled brightly. I'm sorry lady, but I don't know you and you don't know me. So how would you know what I'm able to do? If I put my mind to it, I can protect myself better than even Mr. Xoey could...if I really wanted to. Closing her eyes and tipping her head to the side with an oddly cheerful smile, she giggled. So please don't call me a child. I watched them for a living. So I know that I'm not one. Thank you.

After having said what she needed, Penelope promptly turned back around to face Xoen with a bright smile. I can ask the people who haven't kicked me out of their shops yet and... I don't know any Sir Plies, I think. Is that all you want me to do Mr. Xoey? She asked the Black Knight with much enthusiasm, ready and reading to get going.

"Great to hear, I'm sure you'll help greatly in this endeavor," Xoen says, his smile widening. It was pleasing to see that he wouldn't have to wait long for. "For now, please get to work finding whatever information you can."

Pointing a thumb to the pack over his shoulders he adds, "also I suggest a backpack, I myself can cover a few of our essentials," as he speaks he counts out his necessities, "like fire, cooking pans, water, first aid, and shelter. However, I only brought enough food for two. I definitely suggest buying some while you're here. Also, we won't exactly be sleeping in lavish settings. Simple sleeping bags in a tent is all we'll have, I hope that's alright?" he asks, looking over his two companions. Thinking about their situation though, another thought comes to mind: sleeping arrangements.

"Actually, you two can take the tent. I'll probably sleep out on the grass somewhere. With the air getting cooler insects shouldn't present a problem. Plus, I could keep the fire going and act as a lookout on the off chance we end up being tracked instead."

While he was certain both heard and understood his words, he didn't appreciate the way Liandry was looking over him and Penelope. While he could see curiosity playing across her eyes, he couldn't help but feel as though there is a bit of scorn to her gaze. Perhaps bringing Penelope along was off-putting for the heartless hunter? Could she be thinking that this little girl would be a detriment to their efforts? She would be sorely mistaken if that was her belief.

Penelope, from what William mentioned in Radiant Garden, was quite a handful. She was capable of fighting a seasoned assassin one on one and force him to bring in heartless. If she could fight that crazy scientist, she could definitely fight this green scarfed monster.

When his thoughts proved to be true by Liandry's words, he opted to defend his reasoning in allowing her along on this quest. However, it seems as though Penelope was more than willing to explain to Liandry that she was more than capable of helping. But, despite claiming not to be a child, Xoen couldn't help but see her in that light. Even though she bore a darker, more lust filled side to her cute, ditzy nature, his interpretations remained the same.

Hearing her refer to supplies as a person rather than items needed, it took every ounce of willpower to keep Xoen from slapping his palm to his forehead, and dragging it down his face. He knew she was a bit of an airhead, but this was a little too much. How could someone so strong also be so clueless at times? Also, what could she have possibly done to warrant her being kicked out of all the shops around here? Not wanting to leave her believing that he would immediately work to correct her.

"No, not Sir Plies, Penelope. SUPPLIES, meaning food, clothing, sleeping bags, water, those kinds of things. As I just told Liandry here you'll probably want a backpack to carry it all in. I just hope you didn't get kicked out of EVERY shop around here." Being sure that his attention is on both in attendance he adds. "I'll remain here for the next half an hour, please try to gather everything and whatever information you can."

There were a few screams of absolute terror erupting from a store. Was it the said beast? It was quite unknown at first, since the crowd concealed what was inside the store. One man was too slow, and a black tendril wrapped around his foot, and pulled him in to the store. It was silent, for a while.

"The Sandman is coming in his train of cars. With moonbeam windows and wheels of stars. So hush you little ones, have no fear. The man in the moon is the engineer..."

The monstrosity arrived, but it was not whom they were looking for, likely. It was a sleek, metallic humanoid covered in a black chitin-like armor. His face seemed to be a V-shaped mask, with one half blank, and the other half containing one red eye, and a half of a mouth, fixated in a permanent grin. A white wisp of hair drooped from above the mask. He also wielded a rather large, and fear-inducing scythe. A scythe that belonged to Feisu.

“ If you plan for my person to take you seriously as an adult I’d deeply advise dressing as one, preferably over cosplaying a bubble gum fairy” Liandry retorted back coldly while not even wasting the energy to gaze at her unwelcomed team-mate. She could not tolerate the youth with a mouth on her shoulders and with even a less respectable mind set of a child despite how she thought her body might be at age, maturity rarely meant a personal’s physical condition. But despite her better judgement this knight insisted to bring the chibi fairy along, to whatever ends he deemed was worth the hassle. It would be on his head then, scolding her brow further the noble maiden signed with a tired expression before walking away. Even stepping back towards the town she could still hear the two of them bickering over language dialectic.

This was going to prove a taxing day, that much was certain as the great gods themselves appear to deem it so, twisting the events as they saw it fit. Liandry cursed her fate at their waves but saw a greater path set before her in the sea of bodies to lay at her feet blood soaked and writhing in the light.

She wondered away into a shop or what appeared to be one at the very least, the foreign letters and common tongue of this town was beyond what her current education could grasp, it wasn't helping either that her worldly appearance brought with it a unpleasant unfamiliarity to the towns people. But looking from placement of assorted goods she only prayed this be a seller.

Reaching the counter her thoughts were placed at ease as the merchant spoke to her in a tongue she was familiar with. Speaking in return her mannerisms appeared much harsher and direct to the friendly style of customer service but the jingle of her large coin purse easily made it bearable. She left with a slight difference in the weight of her munny pouch but much less so then what Xoen likely would expect to see back, a modestly sized bag that lace over the shoulder to her right side, carrying Dried herbs, salted meats, a sleeping mat and a water canteen. It was certainly not required to carry more then she needed and since this was a lively forest all their living supplies would be within hunting reach.

Alas all the information she could gather were rumours and what appeared to be tall tales their mad elders spoke of, sightings of black beast that would snatch any hapless soul to wonder the city at night, praying on their bodies and leaving naught a sign of a struggle or remains. But of course as she heard this the younglings gathered around too in laughter and the middle aged serving wretches partook in the jolly. So it was certain those stories were unreliable to say the least, hopefully her purchase of a map would make up for it. It wasn't too out of place to be able to find it, it was a local setting to show the area those known to travels by the villagers but it wouldn’t hurt to have around either.

Within the allotted time the huntress returned within 23 minutes carrying her supplies in suit towards the meeting site of her party. As she walked the straight path there her attired shifted itself into light that flashed over her bare illuminated flesh for a moment before dimming down and re-stitching into her battle attire. The fabric was similar in colour and texture but much stronger in lighter than her casual attire, giving her also much more mobility with open slits and options while still exuberating her refined sense of upper style. She nodded towards the black night upon seeing his entire form close to her but she refined from trying to extend any more pleasantries. The huntress could already tell they would not get along on a personal level, he was too laxed and lacked any militarily discipline. She found it strange then he was awarded with such a title but questioned no further as kingdoms often did different in tradition and expectations. It mattered little for their quest for now, as long as his skills were up to standard.

Resting now for the others Liandry stood still just a bit behind Xoen, peering out to await the others to finish their prep so they could start.

Ooooh... Penelope blinked at Xoen's explanation of her mishearing. And no, I haven't been kicked out of every one. Just most.

She looked up at the Black Knight with a small smile and an embarrassed chuckle. It was at that point that she heard someone behind her. Turning to see who it was she seen Steve. Wait... Penelope danced in place with a giddy smile. But before she even had the chance to properly greet him, something was said that made her rather sad.

Bu... Bubblegum.. fairy? Penelope blinked in disbelief at the woman. Did she really just...?

She spun to face Xoen with a look of utter hurt and anger. With a stiff under-lip, she flipped around and stormed off into the crowd just seconds after Liandry left to gather the supplies she'd need. Pushing past the citizens one by one, Penelope began entering the shops. And one by one, the shops denied her service. It was by the time that the fifth shop refused to assist her that Penelope was pissed beyond belief. Even the creepy guy causing chaos within the town was pissing her off. He wasn't helping the situation at all! She had just about enough of their degradation... It was time to be an adult.

Twenty-seven minutes later, she returned. But it was not Penelope that was there to rejoin the group, but the persona Sadie. Wearing her rather revealing armor, the magnetic wings where dismissed for that moment. Stopping right before Xoen with an unpleased expression, she dropped a satchel full of supplies.

I hope you're happy, Xoey. I had to go through a lot of trouble to get this, lots of persuasion was involved. But perhaps you can... reimburse me later, hm? The sour look turned to a smirk as she crossed her arms delicately under her bust. There was a split second that she flashed a look towards Liandry, one which screamed, "What kind of child am I now?".

"That's a rather interesting blade you have there." Xoen quirks a brow while looking over the youth and his keyblade. The black knight has seen only two others in his career. One belonging to his master Yima, the other to Noah, the deranged scientist. However, unlike the one the madman used, this one was the real deal. Xoen could easily discern that from the light that filled his vision, signifying the keyblade's summoning. It lacked the ethereal numerical features Noah's had in abundance.

"If you heard everything I said, please get to your task. Purchase everything you need, you have thirty minutes." He didn't want to sound like he was rushing the youth, but Xoen wishes to get this task complete as soon as possible. That, and him referring to this hunt as fun didn't sit too well with him. Tracking down and killing this beast was to be anything but that.

A creature capable of manipulating water, the nature, weaponry, or fire in the way those four could was not something he took lightly. Perhaps it was because he was forced into combat with their clan in the past, but either way he would hope to teach this child that he must remain cautious. This opponent would not be felled easily.

He wished that would be the end of it, he really did, but hearing Liandry's back and forth with Penelope would not allow him a moment of peace. It also seemed like Liandry took it a bit too far with the bubblegum fairy comment. He could attest to that by her furrowed brow and deep frown. At that moment he wanted to say something, anything to help cheer the poor girl up.

Sadly, there was nothing that would prove the huntress wrong. The black knight knew she was a bit of an airhead, but she was definitely a capable fighter of incredible strength. Her holding onto that one ton doll was more than enough proof of that fact. Xoen planned on pointing this out, but before he could get the opportunity both Penelope and Liandry were leaving. Opting to save that conversation for when they returned he stood at his post silently.

Like when he first arrived, he eyes scanned the small crowds that moved in a hurry as they went about their day. Looking around this time proved to show him the same thing as before. The dirt covered faces of the peasantry moved akin to small animals scurrying about in the wild. Some appear almost desperate to get their tasks complete. As time went on others started breaking out into a full blown run. In fact, the longer he stood there, the more the people began to move about in a state of panic. What could be causing this?

His thoughts are interrupted, by the approach of one of his companions. Liandry would prove to be the most efficient in the task set for her, arriving early and with a sizable bag in tow across her back. Her clothes even change their aesthetics as she approached, becoming something that spotlighted her exuberance, yet gave her the function she would need for the battles that were sure to come.

Like before, she still had that cold expression upon her face. Was she having a bad day, could she still be angry about Penelope? Does that in turn mean that she was angry with him for bringing her along? He could see her reasoning behind being mad, even going so far as to be sympathetic. Penelope didn't exactly show professionalism, even the girl herself should be aware of that.

But, just because she lacked a cold demeanor and calculating features, doesn't mean that she wasn't an asset. Penelope had proven that fact when she and he fought side by side against foes that would have proven to be too strong otherwise. She already made it known to the black knight, and in time this huntress would come to realize it as well. Knowing that, Liandry's look didn't phase him as well as it would have.

Silently she made her way to his side, no doubt waiting on the other two. Xoen was certain they would be cutting it close, or be late, but it didn't bother him. As long as they didn't take an hour he would be fine with their tardiness. In fact, he could say them being late was a blessing. He could take this time to speak with Liandry, who remained as silent as the dead.

"Liandry," he would say suddenly, turning to face her. Her eyes appear to glare into his, as though she were annoyed by his acknowledgement of her. In spite of her glade, he would not let it deter him from what he had to tell her.

"I didn't get a moment to explain to you earlier. Don't underestimate Penelope's carefree attitude. I know she seems like she'll be a burden, but that is definitely not the case. She's fully capable of pulling her own weight. If you want some insight as to how, that doll she has that she's swinging around like it's nothing? It weighs a ton, when I picked that thing up it nearly tore my arms out of my sockets."

He pauses for a moment to let that information sink in. Despite her expression remaining the same, he was sure she was playing those words in her mind on repeat, trying to figure out how such a thing was possible.

"That's not all, oh no." Xoen continues, shaking his head. "She has a form she can call upon, one that allows her to fight. Now, I'll be the first to tell you that she's sloppy in combat. Like me she lacks refinement, but she makes up for it in sheer tenacity and versatility. There is another downside. When she fights she wears this rather revealing--"

His ears perk up when that telltale, sultry voice graces his ears. Turning his attention back to the direction Penelope walked off in, he was surprised to find that instead of the pajama wearing girl, he finds Sadie instead. Just like that night in the Inn she's wearing that incredibly revealing armor. Again he's exposed to the  large, supple breasts that were ready to spill out of her outfit at a moment's notice.

"outfit." He finishes. Ignoring that she's dropping her supplies on the ground as though they were nothing, and not acknowledging her suggestive comment or smirk, he makes his way over to her, removing his jacket as he does so.

"Sadie, I'm sorry you went through all that trouble, but I'm going to need you to put this on to cover yourself." Even while he was bringing his arms over her to place his coat upon her shoulders, he could tell that his jacket would be much too big for her. However, that little detail didn't matter.

Not wanting to waste time, he even goes so far as to help her guide her arms into the large sleeves. Once it sits comfortably on her, he begins buttoning up the coat, having a bit of trouble when he makes it to her breasts. For some reason, even though his jacket is large for her frame, those two protrusions are keeping him from being able to button it up further.

To remedy this he pulls his jacket tighter around her. Xoen swears he can sense her smirk turning into a huge grin as he as he does this. She knows that she's able to distract him. In spite of that, it does nothing to deter him in this moment.

With the jacket finally buttoned up, he takes a step back to get a better look. The sleeves may come down a bit past her hands, and it might be acting as a makeshift dress, but at least her parts were concealed from sight. Just in time too, a few men from town were staring at the free show, a bit of drool hanging from open mouths.

"Perverts." Xoen mutters under his breath.

She wished to remained as just a tool for this quest and at Xoen’s call for as long as he deemed the heartless a threat, it wouldn't matter how much she had to suffer if it meant getting rid of the darkness of the worlds for the glorious promise land of the future in holy fire. But for the love of all good graces of god he was making this test her faith and will to endure this. She at the fleeting days of her youth often was subjected to sufferings meaning to strengthen her resolve, beatings with a blade and hand, the near life sentence to the underworld for a step past perfect all of it. And now it was this man now that was pushing her into those dark memories again to use as a comparison. Did he expect her to play nice on such matters? Truly was he such an unrefined solider as to place emotional concern to stand side by side with duty? Such an odd knight to be sure, he lacked ever the more calibre to wear such a title and rank.

“ Does thy expect me to be impressed? To re-evaluate a person on said gifts rather than a question of character? I must thoroughly approve of my disappointment then upon you sir. What matters the skill of a blade when a person lacks a sharp edge to their resolve of temperament. How one carries themselves as in comparison to how hard they hit. Strength alone is not a factor to judged respect or one’s favour, a solider may strike harder but a king strikes with the power of a nation. Is this done with muscle or magic? No a king’s weapon on his refinement, personality and sheer awe of that is the embodiment of character and virtues”

As they spoke the second leading female of this quest came into question but on a much more disastrous fashion to which Liandry visible showed in utter disgust, her eyes widen to large portions as her eye brows tried to squeeze then back down, her mouth lowered its tips audacity she was force to witness at her height. Holding the whole of her palm to embrace her forehead and obstruction this ghastly sight she simply had to shake her head in question to her gods. Why, why must the huntress be tested against the sins of man like this, monster were at least a task to be over and done with in a mere moment of her blade connecting. Human growth? Tis a road worthy to pave a path for the saints.

“ And yet you possess the gull to ask me to re-evaluating this person now standing even lower than the standards of a child that holds pride to the sin as well. This? A young lady peddling her flesh like a disposing rag to tantalize the weak willed into her favour. A child at the least had the potential to flourish past time’s automated settings with the right guidance but a harlot that embraces the dark urges with little respect to themselves? I see no returning from that hell. As such Sir if you insist on embracing such nature to your manhood then I respectfully request you halt mocking myself further and treat me little more than a sword for the greater good, other then that I do not wish to collaborate with the whore or your questionable morals as a person any further. Think of me as you well but it is not my person you require as so much my weapon, I would like to keep it that way”

The Feisu creature looked above the crowd to see a more familiar face. Xoen? What was he doing in the land of China? Or more particularly, the Land of Dragons. Was he still searching for the kidnapper from Radiant Gardens? The mech grew curious from his fixated grin, and red eye. He chuckled to himself, and started toward the group containing Xoen, the other boy, and the two females. He let out a quiet chuckle, thinking of the attention Xoen might be getting.

Once he got at a distance of about twelve feet, he said, "Xoen. It looks like you still have not given up on whatever it is you're doing. And, you've brought company. Morsels for me, or just little brats you call friends? And maybe, I could know what you're doing?" The mech chuckled.

At Xoen's persistent insistence to clothe her, Sadie chuckled and allowed him to place the coat on her. It amused her just how flustered the sight of her exposed flesh made her, and it made her wonder just how much more could he take before he was putty in her hands... Taking the collar of the jacket in either of her hands, Sadie made eye contact with Xoen, a sly grin spreading across her lips. In a shameless manner, she brought one end of the jacket close to her nose and inhaled. It smells just like you, Xoey. She chuckled, relishing in the fact that she knew this was definitely going to make the Black Knight highly uncomfortable.

But her fun was short-lived as Liandry spoke tedious words. Sadie's discontent showed rather blandly on her face as she took slow, precise steps towards her. My, my. You truly are a persnickety bore, aren't you? Haven't you ever heard of a little word called "fun"? Sadie leaded towards Liandry until their noses almost touched. There was a mischievous grin on her face. Because of not... I can teach you the meaning.

She leaned back, crossing her arms in a way that only added to the emphasis on her breasts as the grin faded into a more serious expression. But I'm sure we can agree that we aren't here to pick fights with each other. I'm going to help Xoey, as I'm sure you wished to for whatever reason, and in order to accomplish that, we need to get along for the sake of getting along. You stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours. Agreed?

With a sultry swing of her hips, Sadie turned to face the Black Knight. Giving him a playful wink, her being was enveloped in a bight pink light. As it died down, it could be seen that Penelope had reverted back to her "bubblegum fairy" personality, holding Freya close to her chest as she donned Xoen's coat.

She skipped over to Xoen's side. Besides. It's more fun to not be so proper all the time. You should try to have fun more often Miss Lianny. She said with a broad smile and a loud laugh, looking at Liandry over her shoulder. Oh. But not right now though 'cause we gotta help Xoey with his... I don't remember what with, but I'll be there to help!

It was at that moment, picking up the satchel she dropped, that Penelope noticed the mech in their presents, along with the fact that Steve had been standing there the whole time. Turning her smile from Steve to Feisu, she blinked. The sight of the mechanic being wasn't something she'd never seen before, as they had mechanized people there before, but he was very tiny compared to the ones she was used to seeing.

Walking right up to him, she looked up at Feisu, tipped her head to the side, then the other, and attempted to knock her knuckled against the metal. What he was there for, or even why was no concern to her. She was just curious about his composition and was trying to figure it out.

Indeed, Feisu was certainly made of a very strong metal. Sadie's knuckles hit it, making no ringing sound, but the material was dead cold, and very, very hard. It would take very precise strikes of very, very sharp weapons to deal some kind of damage to this metal. But the touch created another response. All of a sudden, Feisu bent down so his face was incredibly close to touching Penelope's. His red eye stared at her, directly.

"I would be careful where you touch, miss. The one, wrong little touch just might set something off. And down will come baby, cradle and all." He said, with a distorted metallic, and slightly sadistic tone.

The whore’s words fell on deaf ears as the huntress paid it little more mention to her speeches then the air blowing pass her shimmering hair. There was nothing left for her to Liandry and if her actions proved otherwise then congratulations, she was enough to be consider a weapon. Fiddling with her bag as the “air” picked up in tone and length she slowly attempted to make her way through the gear passing her touch carefully on by to ensure now other equipment might be damaged. Finally she found it, pulling out a scroll of paper she gripped it tightly with her fingers. Slowly then moving towards Xoen once his attention was taken off his harlot, the moment the girl attempted to draw close to the noble women she simple motioned past her before any more space was taken with little regard what Penelope was intending to display or speak about, it really didn't matter any more how much they wanted to interacted Liandry had already made up her mind and peace.

She was done with them, there wasn't little point in trying to get past their thick character flaws if they couldn't see past their own wisdom to take a more rational thought to their fantasy. If that wasn't clear enough yet to merit them to actually take her with some seriousness then they would meet a phantom in the sword women's form.

Once Xoen was either done barking at her, Liandry only guessed to be one of his natural reactions in defending them for some reason again or interacting with his less than respected companions she would try and bid a moment of his time to with the tip of her fingers once he appeared to be free, just a light touch would do. If he took notice the silver hair maiden would present the map towards her leading captain with a mask of expressionless to her once painted expression. There was now little choice but to work with this man, honor bounded her to fulfil her service for the time being.

“ I have acquired a map of the local area, may it be of use sir”

Hopefully Xoen would take the map out from the heartless slayer’s hand once she held it out in front of him for a moment or two. If not she would simple hold onto it before retreating to a further distance away from the group. Honestly it was draining her being around them without being taking at face value any more, taking her own advice she just wanted to be the weapon she was raised to be and finished this quest and leave. This bunch only reminded the mistress why solitude was so much more preferred.

The Amaran listened as the girl known as "Sadie/Penelope* spoke, it was amusing at the very least to see the girl turn from a whore into an innocent little girl. Ander looked around annoyed; from left to right he noticed that not one of these heroes had heard him, but that was fine. He felt the chilly air to his cheeks, and the wind stir around him. The element itself is one that he grew fond of; but no more of that. Turning his attention back to this group of losers he noticed the mech over there, putting on his "Badass, Sadistic" persona in.

Heh.. Can't help, but like the guy though.

He did have something about him, Ander just couldn't rest a finger on it. Then he looked a little farther behind the group and saw Steve. He was a good kid sure, but The Amaran was still quite salty with him. You can't just forgive someone who stares at your crushes Boobs... It's outright rude, perverted, and a huge set off, one that was getting extremely hard to restrain Everyday.

Finally the boy would turn and see Liandry, she was actaully the one he was going to like the best; well he figured. Her attitude was... Intricate, and powerful. When she spoke her words Ander smiled mischievously. A second later a gust of wind would shoot at the paper that was rest in her palm ready to be grabbed. It would rocket to the Amarans face where e would catch it and open it, skimming it with a sigh. This is useless, but uhh I'm sure at least one of you have sensory magic right? Because if its a heartless who has sentient intelligence, what makes you think it's going to watch you walk up to it? If we can ambush it then someone could prevent it from running away, or someone could tag it? With a calm expression he would look up to the bulking Man. Xoen would surely notice him this time.

If she wanted to make it more than obvious her distaste towards not only him, but Penelope as well, she succeeded. While she spoke, Xoen merely lazily turned his sights her way to let her know that he was paying attention to every word she spoke to him. He cares little for her disappointment towards him, same could be said of what she said about Penelope. He knew from experience just how far having someone like the little girl could go. She was more than capable of providing the assistance they would need. Having fought alongside her granted him that knowledge.

However, what Xoen didn't like, was her implication that he leans towards more decadent matters. He carries himself with honor, and found that despite her apparent wisdom, she did a thorough job in insulting his integrity as a member of Radiant Garden's military. In order to keep civility, he would take it in stride, after all she was ignorant as to how he operated. He couldn't blame her for not realizing, after all this is their first meeting. He would forgive her this one time. But where she to bring it up again...

His gaze turning half lidded, he would respond when she finished performing her small, immature act of irritation.

“You are quite wise, Miss Isis. And I'm sure that thanks to your trials and tribulations that brought you here this very day, you possess both knowledge and wisdom that would put even the most seasoned men twice your age to shame..” His tone would reflect the sincerity of his words, he meant no ill will, nor did he intend to mock her. He would move his body to face her, to give her proper respect when addressing her. Yet, his half lidded gaze, along with his deep frown, would remain.

“However, you read far too much into what I said. I did not ask you to re-evaluate her. I did not expect you to be impressed. Neither of those were my intention, perhaps I could have worded what I said better. All I wanted to convey was that Penelope,” he explains pointing to the now concealed girl, “won't get in our way, nor slow us down. As far as that nature is concerned,” Xoen lets his hand hang limp at his side.

“You can think what you will, you're entitled to your own opinion. I doubt assuring you that I do not partake in such things will sway you, so think of me what you will.” And with that, he promptly turns back to the direction  the keyblade warrior move off in. When he does though, he finds something quite alarming. A creature of some sort, one that's housed inside a metallic shell, or could it be that the shell itself was this monster? Whatever the answer, that thing chilled him to the very bone. The very source of panic among the crowds of this town had made itself known.

Its not the most subtle thing, rivaling the black knight in height. A cybernetic creature of sorts, skinnier than even Xoen who himself is known for being lanky. As it draws near he's capable of making out the insect-like, sleek black armor that covers it. The ends of its hands sport gold-knuckled gloves cover what would otherwise be black hands. The face itself is intimidating, being a V-Shaped mask with a split down the middle. The right half shows no facial features, just jet obsidian. The left however, sports a bright, shining red eye and a portion of a mouth painted into a permanent grin. Despite it being a beast of mechanical nature, it still had a bit of ghost white hair sticking out of its head.

The air around him seems to fester with dread, a sensation Xoen is all too familiar with. In fact, he could say he was exposed to something like this not too long ago. Back when he and a few others risked their lives in order to make his home a better place. Among the group there was one individual, a creature that left them soon after joining up. Feisu, the black ink entity that could bring forth minions of the dark on a whim.

Seeing him, that cocky over the top lover of the dark. Xoen was already glaring, his body tense from merely being in his presence. Were it not for his Perfections, there wouldn't have been creatures preying upon corpses like mice scurrying about for their next meal. There are those back on Radiant Garden that are now unable to bury the dead because of the likes of them. However, not wishing to show such open hostility while surrounded by civilians, Xoen would keep as calm as the situation would allow. The men and women crying out in fear, pointing to the mech would only be detrimental to that. It's so much like the cries of the innocent when they first laid eyes on him those weeks ago...

“I think it'd be in your best interest to leave, Feisu. What I'm doing now is none of your concern.” Seeing the keyblade wielder approach from around the side of Feisu, he means to acknowledge him as well. Just like the others around him, they're surprised to find the world leader mucking about in the Land of Dragons.

“Yes Steve, I do know him, and he was just leaving, correct?” With that being said. The tension beginning to form would call for the black knight's attention, completely deafening him to both Ander's quiet reply, Penelope's rather perverted comment, and even the explanation that followed after. Though, her raping on the side of Feisu like a door would catch his attention. It seems as though she's reverted back into her childish form. That comes as a great relief to Xoen, but what she's doing unnerves him greatly.

Before he can say anything, Feisu is the first to speak. A rather chilling collection of words that would send a chill up the nobody's spine. The warning seems to fall on deaf ears as far as Penelope is concerned, and that too makes him nervous. As of right now, things are shaping up to be a mess. Xoen was more than ready to act if things were to take a turn for the worse.

A trained fighter capable of making the split second decisions that would make or break this rather tense, yet fragile calm. If Feisu does decide to make due on his threat then he'd have no choice but to fight him here, in front of all these people. Innocent lives would be at risk...

Liandry's light touch upon his coat would catch his attention next. The poor man has a lot to take in, so he hopes that what the heartless slayer needs him for would be quick. He couldn't allow himself to keep his eyes off of the mechanical monster for too long. Oddly, he'd find a map held in her hand. Xoen did have one of his own, already riddled with marks showing the paths they would take, along with possible sightings circled. It did do good to have a back up in case the first ends up torn, wet, or burned away.

“Definitely, just let me update it to match the one I have in my possession. Always great to have a second one handy.” Whether she took what he said to heart or not remains to be seen, but at least she's remaining civil, even if it might be forced. She may prove to be a great asset, but with her having to tolerate all that will be happening around her might mean that she won't be around for long. Things aren't shaping up well and they haven't even made it out of the starting gate.

The black knight makes an attempt to grab hold of it, only for the wind to blow it from her hand before he gets the chance. Following its path, it ends up in the hands of the young teen who tried to make himself known earlier, but was unintentionally ignored. Once Xoen is able to get a good look at him he can see why. This person was rather plain, nothing really seems to stick out. Dark brown hair, bright green eyes, and of course a dark toned uniform to throw it all together. This child seems fit for classes rather than being out here.

“No, none of us have sensory magic as far as I know,” Xoen says, moving towards the youth. “As far as killing this thing is concerned, the plan will have to match the situation. If its the one I believe it is, as soon as we enter a forested area it'll know we're there.” As he explains he grabs hold of the map. Rolling it up and placing it in his interior jacket pocket he continues. “Ambushing it will prove to be difficult unless it's distracted.”

With the group already appearing to be too large, Xoen decides that now would be the best time to close off access to his quest. Four people made a squad, and that in itself should prove more than enough to take down one of the four scarfed heartless that's wondering this world. To bring in this teenager and Feisu spelled trouble. Having Penelope along was risky as is considering her nature, and he hardly knows anything about Steve or Liandry.

“Also, sorry to say but I'm not waiting any longer, I've already spent enough time here as it is. We have enough people to form a necessary party.” He can already see the flames starting to spark to life between the keyblade wielder and the mech. It'd be best to go ahead and get started rather than letting them fight. If Feisu decides to follow and egg Steve on, then Xoen will take care of it when they leave the town.

“Steve, don't give in that's exactly what Feisu wants. All he's looking to do is get under your skin. Now if you'll excuse us, it's time to get started.” Xoen does not bother to hide the urgency in his voice, or his annoyance. It would be best to set off now rather than wait any longer. They had to make use of the light given to them this day.

Feisu didn't seem angered, nor delighted at Xoen's response. He figured he probably wouldn't like his lingering presence, even without his trust Perfections. He stares at Xoen, slowly accepting that perhaps, the group is too big for him. He was still curious, though...Maybe he could watch from a distance. He wasn't sure, yet.

Until, of course, the idiot boy decided to play around.

"Perhaps, you should put your stubby hands behind your head, and walk away slowly. Denying one's curiosity leads to resentment, and resentment leads to hate. Grow a brain, including a stem, and your required neurons, weightless head. I'm here for a purpose. What of you?"
