Amarans, Rebel Empty Amarans, Rebel

Post by Sirius on March 5th 2014, 10:36 pm

In a flash of cyan wonder, Sirius appeared in the Port; specifically, on the docks looking at a mighty fine vessel. The Alternate Azmot looked around in his blue-haired appearance, the one he had adopted under the guise of Helios. The worlds had changed so much, and now the time was finally upon him. Spirit had left some time ago because of that bastard, Etzolix's, doing. The plan to correct the universe was going to be much more difficult without him. Nevertheless, Sirius and Malik continued their research in secret. Finally, from Altermot's DNA, they re-developed the Amaran race; the insect-esque creations that ruled the other universe were now viable once again, and Sirius had the first eggs in his pocket.

Out of his hand, Sirius cast thousands of crystal-dust particles were scattered across the sea, floating through the gusts of spring air. They settled gently on the waves that churned and bubble at their touch. One by one, figures with screeching yells fly out of the water with great force, the scaly Cretans about 5' and sticking to any form of structure they could get there hands on. Any Amaran's in the universe could hear their collective call, as Altermot had designed; he needed to know who had survived the Rapture. These scaly fiends ate away at anything they could find, dissolving it with their acidic saliva and chipping away with sharpened teeth. They came in slow waves, but Port Royal would be in shambles if a hero did not arrive sometime in the near future. The world would be physically there, but the city would be leveled.

As the Fly-Fleet continued to ravage Port Royal, Sirius watched as some of the citizens tried to fight back. They carried muskets instead of magic.. pfft. Was this the best in the universe?

Soldiers in red-coats marched in order, almost ignoring the world around them, as they prepared to fire. A few got picked off by swarming troopers, but they held their ranks. Moments later, musket smoke filled the air, along with the sound of little Amaran bodies being felled. It seemed that they weren't as durable in this universe, a healthy reminder for Sirius to watch himself. In the other universe, Sirius could take bullets like breakfeast - now it seemed he was subject to different laws. Out of his back, Altermot grew 8 sharp, hard appendages that resembled spider legs. A nearby cluster of soldiers took notice and turned 70 degrees to face him, dropping on one knee to prepare to fire. Out of the tips of these sharp, ghastly appendages spewed lightning, which formed a semi-circle around Sirius. The Muskets fired.

The electromagnetic field caught the bullets easily, a smirk appearing on the Amaran's face. With a flick of one of his spider-like appendages, the caught balls of steel shot back at a diminished but still fatal velocity towards the soldiers with horrifying accuracy. The colours of their coats darkened as they were lain to rest.

The cyan field flickered to nothing as Sirius noticed the Fly-Fleets digging holes in the ground and burying the large Razor Trap Eggs. One by one these creatures of gargantuan size rose from the ground, killing anything that got near it.

The Fly-Fleets continued to rise from the ocean. In total, perhaps 200 had hatched, but a bit more than half had died from some cause or another. All in all, it wasn't a very good invasion on Amaran standards. But if this was all that there was to offer, then it would be far good enough.

The Weaver-class Amaran smiled as the Fleets were lead by his telepathic command, a simple one. Destroy.

So much for heroes in this universe, too.

Ander walked calmly with his hands behind his back as he passed people being attacked by the Amarans. Exotic creatures they were. Ander who seemed to be walking right around them was surprisingly not being attacked. Of course they were busy eating and attacking the officials and what not. He then noticed one trying to crawl up his leg. He quickly seated it off as he could tell they were ghastly creatures and were capable of mass destruction. Damn bugs... Wonder where they're coming from Ander Boy... Investigate haha maybe the boss could use some help taking this place... It could help us making such diabolical allies. Check it out hahaha

The voice of Vokun was like a telepathic link. He could hear the demon. And he chose to listen as usual. But the fact if the matter was Ander also wanted to find the creator or master if these bugs.

Ander swiftly took turns down allies until up ahead by the docks e could see some people. Noticing how they were not being eaten alive he took it they were the ones. Hey! Why are you killing everything? Wouldn't it have been smarter to just I don't know steal everything first?Ander said as he walked up to the group of Amarans.

Words, words, words.

Sirius could almost taste the freshness and inexperience in Ander's voice. For some reason, he wasn't running, which meant he was either A) stupid or B) brave. Or both. Responding in curiosity, Sirius ordered an approaching Fly-Fleet to swerve away, probably saving some of the boy's flesh. More of the Fleets died as the battle grew on - they were at a fourth of the original 200. A few Hercs were all that were left, besides the fragile pests. The magically inclined of the military had started to approach., destroying the fleet with less effort. Things would have to be stepped up.

Because we're alien invaders. Now run along and get killed. He said, charging his hand with electricity, preparing to strike. Then, he killed it, realizing another option. Or become part of the Amaran Hive. Your bravery shows some merit, and it would be better than just killing you. Sirius said, his lips curling into a smile. Perhaps the Hive does, or would exist, in this Universe, farther down the timeline. Perhaps it just started with Ander.

What's your name, youth?

As he spoke, the Razor Trap eggs all finished hatching, taking a bite out of bystanders and nearby structures. The invasion, overall, was turning sour fast. He needed reinforcements.

Ander didn't wanna run along. He knew Vokun would be pissed but Vokun would be pissed if he died as well. So many possibilities right here.

Join or die... Ander would grin with a mischievous look in his eyes. Yes this could all help him every single bit of these invaders could help. "Hive... Does he mean he's going to turn me into a bug?" Ander thought to himself. That actually sounded pretty damn cool. Besides after his win in Halloween Town against Terami and that other fellow Ander figured he had a little skill.

Ander sir. I think joining you would be in my best interest since its the will of Vokun that I came looking for you. I don't think I'll be much help to you though. But I'm willing to help in any way I can. That is if you can put up with a kid like me with little to no experience...  Ander listened although he never came off as smart he always listened and caught on to stuff before anyone even knew it. His intellect was an excelled one and with Vokun constantly giving him battle advice and orders he was likely to never have to ask a question twice. He had every bit of information stored as soon as he heard it and he would await this aliens next sentence he was eager to know what exactly the hive was an how he would end up fitting into it to begin with.

Amarans, Rebel Empty Re: Amarans, Rebel

Post by Nex on March 9th 2014, 12:56 pm

If it wasn't humans killing humans, it was something else.

Port Royal had been a really shitty place the last time Nex had been there. She had heard that it had gotten a new governor a while ago but she hadn't expected it to clean up its act this much. Sure, drunkards were still running down the street and there was the occasional pirate ship coming dangerously close to the port but you could walk down the street without having someone try to cut out your vital organs for carrying a barrel of alcohol. So this was pretty damn good for a world that was previously a waste barrel that the pirate denizens used to dump their empty bottles of scotch in.

Of course however, that peacefulness couldn't last. It never could in life. Death was often so far away from reach and the delusional people scattered across the universe often tried to run away from it. No matter how far they got though death always got them; one way or another... and there was nothing wrong about it. It was just what death did: took away the souls of those whose time had come. There was a difference between when death was doing the killing and somebody else was though.

Death itself only came to collect when a person's life was up for one natural reason or another. In contrast there were those who delivered people early to it. They disregarded their right to live should they so please and instead marched onwards either for a quick giggle, some kind of profit, or whatever other reasons they had for their crimes. Ironically enough Nex herself was this: although not by choice. That was the difference between her and most of the living. She never chose to kill, she was forced to. Unlike what ensued at Port Royal.

On an otherwise peaceful day some strange creatures began popping out of the sea and attacking. It was an odd sight to behold and a destructive one at that which put a foul taste in Nex's mouth. She personally didn't care much for life but she didn't admire seeing the display... Not in the slightest.

Eggs had begun hatching rather quickly and there was a whole swarm of insect like creatures running amok with the intent of driving the inhabitants of this world to extinction. They devoured everything in sight like the mindless kind of creatures they were: no remorse or pride felt upon it. At least not any visible sign of either of the two. It was only an estimate that they didn't have sentience and she doubted she could find any proof that it was true given their hostile nature: although the same was true for those trying to find evidence about their sentience.

The reaper herself sat atop a rooftop and after a few seconds had decided to take action. If the inhabitants of the world couldn't defend their right to live then she would. So, with a flick of her fingers that brought her two weapons into her hands, she hopped down from the small rooftop and began making her way towards the swarm that could be seen often in the distance.

Amarans, Rebel Empty Re: Amarans, Rebel

Post by Sirius on March 9th 2014, 1:17 pm

Sirius approached Ander with a smile, his 8 frightening appendages snapping at the air around him furiously. Alright, Ander, now this may hurt a little. Sirius warned him as one of the Appendages pierced into Ander's chest, a burning electricity cauterizing the wound as the youth was pumped full of Amaran slime and ooze, directly into his heart. It would painfully twist and contort his features as he became an Amaran Elite, the finest Warriors across every Universe. Scales and chitin material would replace his skin into a form Sirius could not design. However the new Amaran DNA replaced the Human would be completely based on luck, or maybe even Ander's preference. He would also be instilled with the knowledge of the Hive and its origins, as well as its objective to be the most superior race in all of the universe. My name is Sirius, by the way.

Sirius was not so unkind to take away the boy's Humanity, though. With a free hand, he inserted a small metal disc into the wound as well, which was still being painfully pumped with organic material that would replace his blood. Ander would probably vomit up the extra soon, or absorb it as energy. The disc was, in fact, an Assimilation Stitch, which would allow him to retain both his human form and Amaran form, to switch between them at will. It was the same kind that allowed Altermot's original body to be both Human and Amaran, except this was more.. weaponized. The pumping stopped as Azmot dropped his body free from his control, not taking notice to Nex's arrival. The boy would feel fine almost immediately, if the process didn't kill him. He would probably feel very, very energized, an effect that would wear off after he slept, in which he would for a few days. A small coma.

The Fly-Fleets started to drop Large Herc eggs into fires, the remaining swarm only 30 or so with Razor Traps littered across the battlefield. This world was much stronger than he had anticipated; and this was just their military. Some buildings were semi-broken, but nothing was demolished. A total of 10 Hercs hatched out of the Flames, pummeling nearby red-coats with their massive arms. With a snap of Sirius' fingers, half of the already diminished Fly-Fleets exploded into Slime, releasing Deathwalker eggs into the area. Two sprung up almost immediately under Hercs, the almost 2 story tall creatures beginning a rampage that would involve a deadly slime made of acid being slewn across the battlefield.

whiiiiiiiiiiir

The sound caused Sirius to look up as he noticed three cannon-balls coming for the creatures. Three of his eight legs pointed towards them and shot ferocious lightning, magnetizing them to simply float softly instead of fall harshly. He would need to destroy those cannons.

Behind him, Sirius took notice of boats beginning to leave - citizens were escaping. It was of no consequence. Sirius simply needed to inhabit the land with his creatures and construct a base for his race.

Sirius mentally took note of what he would need to do in order to win.

Destroy heavy artillery, destroy docks, find the governor "Yin" and force a surrender, take control of this Port. Infest it, victory.

Sirius did not want to take control of the entire world - he just wanted a single port to begin his base of operations; soon, Amaran's would have a foothold in every world.

Looking at the cannons, he decided those would need to be first.

As the appendages stabbed into Ander he would scream out being lifted into the air Vokun insulted screaming as well as he was being drowned in ooze the ooze seemed to hush his voice Ander felt scared what an the hell had he done! Would he still be able to tap into the powers his only true friend had ever given him? No he was lost he was a monster now. He that's what he thought anyway.

He could feel his body getting a harder although it looked like regular skin by touching it one could feel the somewhat hardness it had with it. He noticed how his eye sight became sharper and all the colors around him melded into a single scent. He wondered if the other Amaranians could see the color he could it was beautiful but the pain felt like his eyes were bleeding, his teeth became sharper and he could feel claws growing at his finger tips he then felt something tearing at his back although it wasn't seeming to take place yet.

As the ooze envelops Vokun a purple aura emits around Ander. He can barely hear his voice anymore. But he could feel the demons prescence still there. He could still activate  his powers if he focused in on the Clown man.

Ander began to vomit coughing as he could feel the sting inside altering his very organs themselves. Funny he felt... Complete... Ready to hurt, to kill, he stumbled to stand after the appendage dropped him. He was shaking madly with adrenaline. He couldn't stop his energyit  was vast it was radiating off the boy like light from the sun! He felt the power and he wanted to use it.

Finally standing up and getting a control on his shaken body he would rub his chest pushing out a small amount if the ooze leaving a nasty stain on his shirt. But his body seemed fine now it had rapidly healed and he knew everything of the Hive. It was like someone had just told him seconds ago pictures as well and words would flash between his mind. He felt weird, stronger but still weird. Although his form wasn't exactly as bug like as His new bosses he still felt a ripping at his back. Little did he know two large leg like limbs with pincers would soon be accessible to the new Amaran.

Sirius aye? Cool I kinda like this body, but I also feel like i was violated. Like I don't know exactly what that feels like, but you just shot your ooze in me and I'm pretty sure that's like the same thing. Ander couldn't  help, but talk about the body change. The change felt so weird to him. He wondered if it would wear off soon... But he figured it never would.

Amarans, Rebel Empty Re: Amarans, Rebel

Post by Nex on March 9th 2014, 2:36 pm

Nex hadn't been very far from the scene of the battlefield herself and would quickly get close enough to it to see the scene fully for herself. The insects appeared to be laying their eggs into fire and they appeared to be focusing on swarming the ground of the world rather than focusing on things such as the rooftops. At her will the girl would transport up to one of the empty rooftops and from there would watch as the Amarans continued their assault.

The eggs must have required heat to hatch considering how the insects were putting them inside a normally harmful area. With that in mind the girl would act to prevent more from hatching and would instead manipulate the flames around them; sending them away from the eggs before they could hatch and instead firing them straight at the adults laying at them at her whim in hopes of scorching through their skin. Of course there were still a handful of the eggs that did hatch considering her late arrival and their quantity but she had at least prevented some from hatching and had used the flames they seemed to need to her advantage.

Her finger would come into the shape of a gun and at her will bullets of concentrated magic would fire out of it to the ground below. These bullets would seek to drive themselves into the eggs that had been prevented from hatching and in turn kill the offspring. A few would also be fired at the adults that were devouring the nearby fleeing inhabitants that hadn't made it to the boats and the other various obstacles in their path, aimed straight at their heads in hopes that it passing through the area would be enough to stop them or at least distract them.

At the same time she would keep a close eye on two people who appeared to be humans on the battlefield. The insects didn't appear to be attacking them and though she couldn't see them fully with the swarm in the path some strange process looked like it was being underwent. Whatever the case, these people had to have some kind of connection to the swarm if they weren't being attacked by them and she'd have to keep a close eye on them as well.

Sirius smiled as the weapon of destruction and mischief was giving life, Ander being transformed into a Sabre Class Elite. He had not taken his true form, yet. Take flight, young Ander. Altermot laughed at his light-hearted joke. For some reason, he felt a strange connection to this person. His first ally amongst many. Ander would be His Most Loyal Elite.

Fires danced across the battlefield, unnaturally manipulated as Herc eggs dropped uselessly onto the ground. The Hercs riding the Doomwalkers commanded a terrible vomit to be sprayed across the battlefield, burning through any non-Amaran life like acid. It touched the remaining Herc eggs, fertilizing the Giants into reality.

Sirius took note of Nex, the one killing off his Fly-Fleet. After Nex was finished, along with the Red-Coats insisting on firing there cannons and muskets, no more of the basic Amaran Footsoldier was left. They were weak, and therefore, quickly demolished.

The rest seemd to stay steady - the Razor Traps eating away at their surroundings, the two Doomwalkers and more being ridden by Hercs, and the grounded Hercs using their strength to destroy the buildings and infrastructure of the city.

whiiiiiiiiir, BOOM

The crash of a cannon sounded as a Doomwalker was felled. Altermot growled.

Electricity radiated from his body as Sirius was shot upwards by the force of the electric pulse, flying right towards Nex, who stood on one of the buildings. When he got close, Sirius would charge his hand with electricity and throw a hook towards her jaw in attempt to knock her out. He was tired of this whore's meddling.

Ander could feel the weird tingling sensation in his back. It was itching...

  Spllsk

Two extremely long pincurs began flailing around rapidly.. Something was taking over Ander he began to grow his skin harder. crunching and morphing into the hideous Amaran sabre elite lightning seemed to radiate from the boys evolution as well a purple aura of darkness Vokun was pissed Sirius had managed to take his only vessel and chaorupt it. Silencing Vokun for good. Yet the demons powers were now melded into Ander.

As his wings sprouted and his form was complete his flailing Pincers came back into his back ready to grab an do whatever Ander wanted.

He took flight he focusing in on puny red coats. Using the pincers he shot the down into the humans throats then clenched picking them up he turned concentrating on what Sirius did to make sure his ally was alright he then took the two human and threw one of them with such force he knocked a cavalry man off his horse breaking the mans legs he used the other one as a certain kind of weapon latching his pincer to leg of the man he ripped him in half and began throwing pieces down at the humans the strength behind force knocking some out, breaking others necks.

The peices were as strong canon balls thanks to the colosol strength the Amaran monster had he the kept his eye on Sirius and Nex making sure that if needed he would go help the leader and Kill Nex with no remorse.

Ander was an Appex Predator now. No mercy for the weak...

Post by Mireya on March 9th 2014, 4:55 pm

Yin Ahriman wasn't there. He had left to aid an ally of his to prepare for a big battle and it was uncertain when he'd return. The Governor of Port Royal was probably the most powerful warrior that land had, not entirely because of his supernatural abilities, but because of his oustanding ability as a military strategist. Being attacked by an unknown force while he wasn't around was certainly a dangerous blow.

However, exactly because Yin Ahriman was the person he was, the people of Port Royal weren't as defenseless as they once were.

Upon hearing of the horrible creatures that were attacking the island by the docks, the first move of Yin Ahriman's war council was to send as many troops as possible to aid. They were scared, of course, and rushed some of their movements in the chaos that ensued, losing the lives of men that had gotten to close to their enemies. Though they were able to fight the invaders off in equal terms, that could change at any moment depending on the true strength of the attackers.

But from one moment to the next, the soldiers changed their tactics. First off, they abandoned the idea of injuring the creatures through the use of swords and other close-ranged weapons and began to rely solely on their muskets and artillery. They positioned themselves at a safe distance from their targets, taking cover behind walls and crates to protect themselves from possible ranged attacks.

Afterwards, they all took one of the many formations that Yin Ahriman had taught them in their long training sessions. A third of them moved in front of the rest, forming a straight line and pointing the barrel of their muskets towards the enemy. A second line made from the same number of soldiers would do the same from a couple of feet behind the first line, and a third line would follow the two others.

When the signal was given, the first line was the only one to fire. Muskets were powerful yet slightly unneficient weapons, as you needed to manually reload every time a bullet was shot. But that's where the multiple lines came into action. As the first line reloaded, the second line fired to keep the enemy at bay. And if a second line wasn't enough, there was a third line just in case. By the time the third line had fired, the first line would have finished reloading, firing shortly afterwards. It'd be a continuous rain of bullets falling over the bodies of the invading creatures, one that couldn't be stopped with ease.

This was Yin Ahriman's "Three Lines" strategy, and they had executed it just as instructed.

But that wasn't all. After taking power, one of the first steps Yin Ahriman took was to fortificate the town and to replace the rusty cannons by newer models while also adding a few to the original number as well. Most of them were pointed at the sea in order to fight against any pirate that dared to attack the town, but several of them had been installed further back in case some of them managed to get into the city, and the fortresses overseeing the sea had a high number of them pointing at every possible direction. Those were the cannons now firing at the creatures, trying to take them out in big numbers.

And cannon fire not only came from the land, but from the sea as well. Most of the ships that were still visible evacuation vessels, but a number of them were clearly bigger than the rest. War ships. They pointed their cannons at the invading force and without hesitation began to shoot at them. And as the creatures had initially appeared from the sea, armed soldiers were positioned on deck to shoot and get rid of every possible incoming enemy.

Slowly and carefully, the soldiers of Port Royal had created a perimeter around the creatures. Just as instructed by Yin Ahriman in case something like that came to happen. And what about the buildings that were being destroyed? They didn't matter, now that the people living in there had all escaped. Buildings could be repaired, while the loss of human life was something that couldn't be undone, at least not through normal means. They'd destroy every single enemy inside that perimeters. Of course, the soldiers were willingly trying to avoid the individual that had appeared to help them, but the other two wouldn't be as lucky.

Yin Ahriman wasn't there. But the presence of his influence was clear as day.

It seemed that the two were in fact related to the swarm as Nex had expected them to be, which was revealed when Sirius sprung up after her assault on the horde while Ander quickly began his assault on the various troops on the ground with the rest of the swarm. Clearly he had given the boy some kind of power through that process----unless of course this was some sort of ability he had from the start. Regardless, their true nature had been revealed and there was no sense in pondering over questions about the two with the situation at hand.

Sirius had launched himself straight towards her in what was most likely an attempt to gather up kinetic energy for an attack as well as a quick attempt to reach her. Knowing that he was suspended in the air she decided to use this to her advantage, hoping he didn't have a way out of it, and would fire out several bullets of concentrated magic that she had shot out at the eggs coming straight towards his chest where his physical heart was located at.

After the bullets were fired she would jump backwards in case he found a way to carry onwards with the assault while still alive, avoiding the incoming strike due to the distance they had and summoning the sword she had stabbed into the ground in order to make the shape of the gun with her fingers back into her hand before he could land. In the case that he was alive she would quickly begin her encounter, starting with beginning to charge both Omega and Memento Mori. Afterwards she would charge forwards and swing her dagger at his shoulder with the intent to slice and plunge straight into it; keeping Poena Addo ready to defend against any incoming attacks.

As Nex drew her hand, a field of electricity surrounded Sirius as he was jetted forward, taking the bullets attack without slowing as they fizzled off into the ether. In the middle of her leap, Sirius continued his attack with confidence. The electricity that had surrounded his hand extended suddenly into a blade of concentrated plasma, the reach 10 feet past the distance between the two. The hook motion would make quick work of this Nex if she didn't find a way to avoid the blade - it would also prevent her from preforming any action until she landed, obviously.

As Yin's army started to organize itself, Hercs charged the three line musketeers, whom commanded the newly hatching Fly-Fleets to swarm in tandem. There were not enough to challenge every front, and even the Hercs hard skin could not take the ball bearings forever. The Fly-Fleet would be easily picked off - fodder and meat-shields.

Over other three-lined musketeers, Doomwalkers would approach and either A) fall on the squishy humans or B) drown them in torrents of acid that came from their beaks.

The biggest issue was the cannoneers. The grounded ones were just starting to be picked off by the pests of Fly-Fleets that were being herded by the increasing number of Hercs, thanks to the now 6 available Doomwalkers spewing out eggs and acid. The large creatures were to be destroyed soon, though. Already 5 had been felled by cannon fire, and the artillery were putting production to a grinding halt.

Anders, destroy the land cannons and make your way to the war-ships. And be careful. Altermot mentally commanded, realizing the need to rid those dangerous ships.

The humans had seemed to have thought up a plan. Not bad although seeing the Swarms come up Ander would begin to fly above the battle and dropped his own eggs. A special type of Amaran known as Komodo soar amarans. Falling to the dead ground they hatched as they did it.They were powerful creatures Ander keeping his supply as much he could would form five for now by the time they fell on the ground they were seven feet tall and crazy fast they began to tear through the humans with lethal speeds.

The Amarans began rapidly cutting heads off with their arm swords screaming and bellowing they easily began tearing down the first and second lines like it was no joke. Although they had an easy weakness discovering it so soon was unlikely.

Ander himself would fly around by the Canons using the powerful pincers to peirce and chunk the enemies of their platforms. Tossing them to their deaths. He would fly around and do this to several Canoneers paying close attention to what all was happening to his side.

Ander wondered if Nex would grow a brain an run off like a good girl, but he doubted it.

[30 fly feet-5=25 fly feet left for Ander to create]

With her bullets blocked by a field of electricity and the sudden sight of the blade expanding, Nex would have to act fast to avoid being impaled by what was about to be a very gigantic blade. Teleporting wouldn't work. By the time she transported she would have already been made work of by Sirius unfortunately. However, his manipulation and control of lightning gave her an idea.

Her two blades would be tossed to the ground a few feet away from her and two large flames would start in her hands. Quickly the fire would expand and move to her will, taking the form of a shield that would stand in the way of the blade. Upon it getting close a few of the flames would also leap out and attempt to latch onto it; the fires attempting to force the heavy blade downwards in hopes of redirecting it into the ground below instead of its intended target of Nex's stomach.

To avoid the flames the sword would need to shift its linear course and this would likely be an even less productive thing to do with how it would take more time, also getting rid of the kinetic energy it had stored. As a result Nex would land on the ground if things went smoothly either of those two ways and would disperse the flames should they still be present; teleporting behind Sirius and seeking to drive Poena Addo through his stomach as well as the unnamed dagger straight through his head. Afterwards she would jump down off the building regardless of the result and would hurl a few balls at fire from Sirius from below, as well as any stray Amarans that approached her in the midst of this chaos.

The flames latched onto the Amaran's blade, giving him the mechanical advantage in the situation. The blade would shrink, still held by the flames, and cause Sirius to rocket towards the shield's side, where Nex stood. Racing right through the flames, Sirius understood that he would be burned if he didn't shield himself. Out of his skin grew Rhino-hair based armor, the Crusher Assimilation Stitch. Still, even though it was flame retardant he would need to be quick. The spider-appendages that were born from his back would shoot out and attempt to stab Nex through.

If he did impale Nex, who knows what would happen? He might convert the girl or simply electrocute her to unconsciousness or death. That is, if she was impaled.

It was true what they said...

Sea Salt Ice Cream was delicious! She had heard it was good but it had been a long time since she had it and she certainly hadn't expected it to be so perfect. There had been a big sale at this place and everything too so it didn't even cost much.

The messiah and the rest of the family excluding her sister and Mr. Cuddles weren't at the castle for some strange reason, so she had decided to go out to get a snack or two. She wasn't sure why and maybe she forgot them telling her about something but since they weren't anywhere to be seen plus the fact that she was bored she decided to come here. By her side was a pile of popsicle sticks, Mr. Cuddles, and a coloring back that she had drawn outside the lines in due to her status as the most rebellious of all rebels throughout the rebelverse. Well, not really. She had just felt like it.

Atop a rooftop she sat and when the attack began she was there to witness it in all its glory. Some strange creatures had came out of nowhere and began saving people... Were they perhaps fellow followers of the messiah? They must have been.

It was a heartwarming sight to see and she watched it happily while eating a few more popsicles. A few people started fighting on rooftops and some guys in redshirts showed up to be saved too. Whatever the case, Emilia would continue to hum a happy tune to herself and watch the creatures help the poor people of this world reach paradise with a smile on her face and a song in her heart.

The three lines formation was an advantageous one when being far away from the enemy, as it allowed them to damage them heavily while keeping them at bay. However, if the enemy managed to get close, which they'd certainly do, then it wasn't that useful, as the soldiers needed to stay in their positions at all time while shooting.

These soldiers weren't blind or stupid though: when they saw the Herculeans getting close, most of the squads broke formation and began to fall back. The strength of the invading force wasn't to be underestimated, and a number of squads suffered heavy losses, either because they didn't move in time or because they simply couldn't stand against the strength of the creatures. The later was the case when they were attacked by the Doomwalkers, the large spider-like creatures, the weight of their body crushing soldiers below their legs and finishing them off with their acid.

Those who were attacked by Ander's Komodo Soars were a bit luckier, in a sense. They couldn't see what had created the eggs... but they clearly saw them falling from the sky in their field of view. Eggs large enough to hold a 7-feet creature inside were hard to overlook. They sensed the danger and immediately began to fall back, before the rest of the creatures reached them.

They weren't counting on how fast the Komodo Soars could move though. They managed to catch up to a lot of soldiers, ending their lives with a single strike. The remaining soldiers, however, wouldn't just watch as their comrades died: those who were far enough would reform the lines and start shooting again. From behind the lines, soldiers would roll crates filled with gunpowder through the ground and kick them towards the Komodo Soars. They were fast, so they probably wouldn't be able to take out all of them with that... but a heavy explosion would at least kill 1 or 2 of them. The same tactic would be used against the approaching Hercs and Deathwalkers in other sections of the line.

When all of this was happening, one of the cannons suddenly stopped shooting. The cannon-user had been taken out by a flying creature (Ander), who had descended from the sky, clearly aiming to take out the artillery. The rest of the cannon-user would see this happening and those close by would start getting away, saving their lives from being killed by the creature.

Getting rid of a flying target with mere cannons was hard, but other than using their muskets, there was another thing they could do: when Ander approached a cannon, the cannon-user would fill the mouth of the weapon with gunpowder and then set it in fire all at once. The weapon would explode the moment Ander got close, something that would certainly damage him a lot. This process would be repeated with each cannon that he dared get near to. The weapons would be rendered useless anyway, and the cannon-users would go away to occupy more cannons.

Though they were certainly causing havoc on land, the fact that they hadn't placed the sea as one of their priorities yet was a lucky strike for the Navy. More ships had joined those that were already shooting to the creatures, doubling the numbers in a minute. Port Royal's main military force was the Navy, after all: their vessels were their pride. The war ships would shoot to the larger creatures, such as the Deathwalkers and Herculeans, leaving the smaller ones to the musketeers. And having been advised about the flying monsters, they prepared a large number of guns in order to fire at them at sight.

Z
The swift creatures would certainly be held back by the gunfire but their skin was hard so they managed keep on moving at a jogging level with their hands in their faces to cover their chest/head from bullets. Do to this the two on the side had not seen the barrels and had bitten the dust, but unfortunately three still remained using their pincer they began to push through bodies two at a time for all three they then kept their arm swords out and continued to hack down the humans with deadly speed.

Ander having seen the humans stuffing the Canons but then just running away was very suspicious not enough though to catch on. As he got in a close distance the Canon exploded causing severe damage to the Sabre. A loud scream could be heard from everywhere on the field.  Ander seemed to be bleeding ooze not so much as to kill him but another couple hits from those and he'd be done for sure. But this gave the Amaran an evil idea.

He flew up keeping a 50 foot radius from the explosive canons he then used his magical winds to lift it coating it in air to not set it off yet he would control the flow of the air and send it flying at the war ships making for some perfect accuracy. The war ships wouldn't last long if this kept up. Creating some  more of his preferred Fly fleet the same kind of course he would herds them to attack to attack formations of lines at the ground their were so many it be hard to take them all on! The humans would have a lot if trouble with these.

With Sirius rocketed forwards towards her once more, Nex would respond simply by firing out a blast of fire from her two palms at the ground below. The blast would launch her upwards into the sky with great speed and would allow her to avoid impalement for the moment as she now tossed several balls of fire down at her foe; exploding in bursts of flames with the intent to damage the armor. She didn't expect them to burn through the armor right away but with enough damage she estimated that it would eventually be destroyed or damaged enough to allow her to effectively strike at him. In the meantime however she'd focus on trying to penetrate through the armor.

With the flames fired and the attack avoided, Nex would now teleport to a rooftop a few feet away to catch her breath as she kept her eye on Sirius for any sudden movements.

Nope.

As Sirius rocketed forward and Nex came upwards, a burst of electricity shot from the soles of his feet and he leveled with her almost immediately after the jump, still attempting to non-fatally impale her. Conversion or knocking her unconscious would really have to do, as he was having too much fun with her to let her die, yet. However, if she insisted on playing these games of cat and mouse, predicting his movements and fleeing, soon there would be no choice but to fatally end her. Due to the nature of this movement, it was unlikely that Nex would see him, much less react unless she was capable of portalling as Sirius was.

Below, more eggs started to hatch as Fly-Fleets and Hercs took a more sustained position. Now, they were more focused on building a force than attacking. They would hide in buildings while reproducing, or simply take cover before attacking. At this stage of the battle, it was evident that they needed larger numbers to overwhelm the troops. After all, they lived her - Altermot was growing an army at the port's foot.

So that was how he was playing this game.

At this point it was undeniably true that they were playing a game of cat and mouse----the man chasing after Nex no matter how many attacks of his she dodged. It was a constant struggle that would only end when one of them was exhausted enough to be unable to flee any longer or one of the two found themselves cornered. It was clear that this situation wasn't exactly in the girl's favor and with that in mind she would begin charging Memento Mori as she had planned to do when performing her various counterattacks before Sirius had interrupted them.

Instead of stopping as she had planned she would once again aim her hands downward at the ground and in the invader's path as well. A blast of fire would emit from her palms that led to her pushing herself upwards even higher while firing down a beam of flames at him that would be continually adjusted manually by Nex herself to follow his movements. His armor would of course protect him from it but sooner or later it had to break down, right? As a result, the attacks would at least serve some purpose from what the reaper estimated. At the very least it was better than doing nothing.

This would of course interrupt his attempt at impaling her, leaving her to continue upwards away from him while assaulting him in the process.

The whore's fire finally graced his armor as she flew upwards, causing Sirius to take more drastic action. Had his Rhino hair not been resistant to flames, he would probably had been severely burned; but he could only spend so long in the fire. Hidden in the flames, Sirius disappeared in an invisible flash, moments later appearing behind Nex as he shot his appendages towards her once again, now as close as arm's reach with her. Sirius wondered if she could sense that he was no longer in the flames when he portalled, or if she would be under the impression that he would be immobilized in the fire and was roasting as she poured the hot energy onto him.

If so, she would be met with an electrically charged appendage inside of her back, which would shock her spine and paralyze her for the time being. He would probably have some Fly-Fleets take her to a safe-house for later conversion, or just let her be. It was unknown to him how he would treat Nex - she was a fun toy to play with, to say the least.

He... was gone?

How disappointing. She had expected more of a fight but none the less the flame appeared to have killed him. Welp, whatever. That was that and with him gone she could focus on the horde. With a flick of her fingers her two blades would dismiss themselves and...

"Oh shit."

The sudden feeling of a fist driving into her back occurred and it was at this moment that she realized that he had used the flames to his advantage. It was a clever move but one that ultimately didn't play out in her favor obviously; something she didn't very much enjoy. The quick feeling subsided as fast as it had come however as a sudden numbness replaced it followed by her limp body falling to the ground below. Upon an attempt to move it became clear that she couldn't, which drew her to the conclusion that he must have paralyzed her due to the lightning attacks he had been using earlier on.

Memento Mori was still charging but it wouldn't make much of a difference what with her inability to fight. In fact, she'd most likely be murdered within the next few minutes or so. She wasn't worried about that though; considering how she could just come back anyways. Of course there was the unfortunate loss of power occurred but it was a small price to pay for one of the few benefits her terrible choice of career had as Thanatos's puppet. In fact, she wasn't really worried about anything at all and was more or less just annoyed at her inability to have stopped him.

Oh well.
