Are the points Retroactive?

I also have a question pertaining to this.

Who keeps track of the points? Do we just get the points when we post in certain areas? Or do the Mods/Co-Admins/Admins add them whenever they see posts in an area?

Another thing is. How the hell are you going to use the points, and if they are going to be Munny how do you justify making a system that isn't going to be god moddy? Also, you know that shorter posts and longer posts both give the same amount of points, which means the shorter your post the more you can post and the more points you get. So isn't that unfair?

right, so to answer these questions, i'll give you a little run-down....

How are points calculated?
- Points generated by the number of posts
- Points generated by the number of topics created
- Points generated by the number of friends that the user has
- Reputation points
- Points generated by the registration date of the member
- Points generated by the number of message on his profile

as admins, we get to set it as we choose to fall into one of those categories. if we tamper with it long enough, it may end up in being a munny system. we're trying to get it all up and working though, so just hold tight.

Right so No they are not retroactive however we are able to make them so.

in the RP areas well the world areas are the only place you get points or should be the only areas.

and we are currently working that out to get a non godmoddy way to do it.

Prediction: This is going to end up, as the Impossible Quiz would say, a right mess.

I *KNOW* for a fact that if Zexion and Celox, and even Trickster knew about this, they'd oppose it spot on. It feels like we're being dragged into....Ninchipo.

I hate to be all pessimistic, but this is never...ever...going to work. I'm telling you, this is going to get very, very messy. You think the n00bs bother you now.....you better have some sort of explanation sticky for this pre-disaster.....before it turns into a nasty nasty pile 'o....Ram.

Retroactive-ify them, and use the points to determine what post count used to?
