| Heya! Welcome to Kingdom Hearts. Glad you decided to hang out with us, I'm sure we'll all be good friends. If you clicked here, obviously...that means you're new, and therefore you have no idea what the HECK you are doing as far as getting started with your character. This is the part where I come and give you this rather conveniently placed help guide, because when *I* first started....I was totally lost and ended up getting my rear end chewed off for it! ((Not to mention, getting banned for a whole week! o.0)) So, just follow this guide to help you get started. It's full of little hints and tricks, and the basic stuff. I also put out a F.A.Q <--CLICK ((frequently asked questions) if there's anything else you need help with. HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE PUT A LITTLE LOVE IN IT!Before you do anything else, take a quick read on some of the works from other users! Forte and Celox (two of the site Vets) worked pretty hard to make sure this was easy for you all. TAKE A LOOK:Celox's Crash Course in RPForte's explanation of weapons and armor!Forte explains spells and elements!Pinky explains Non-Player Characters!Pinky's Words of Wisdom Preview-- First off, I want to tell you that this is not a video game. There are no videos, just you, your imagination, and your widdle hands. You use words to create the picture, kind of like writing a story. That's why they call it Role Playing. The character you control is played by you as if you were typing out a story. You can share thoughts, feelings, and emotions while also interacting with the characters of other members in or out of a combat area. WARNING! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!This website uses the kind of coding with [] <---those brackets. IF you try and use a myspace coding on here ((like what *I* did when I first got here....)) you'll end up looking retarded. ((Like me.)) Use these steps to create your character:Step One: Please, read the Site Rules. <<((CLICK)) It has all the Rules that you need to follow in order to not get in trouble with me or any of the other Moderators or Admins. Also, don't forget to read the Terms of Service. <<<((CLICK)) It's a bunch of legal stuff Morpheus Zero came up with so we don't get sued... Step Two : Make your character. Go down to Character Creation <--((CLICK)) and click on Character. After you fill out the template to your pleasure, post it and one of the Admins will get back to you. MAKE SURE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE TEMPLATE!!!! If you choose to have a canon character, if that character is to die at any point during your stay here, you must then create a custom character. If you start off with a custom character, however, you stay a custom. There's no acceptations to the rule, so you better choose carefully! Step Three: Weapons, Spells, and Ships, oh my! To get your Weapons, Spells, Forms, Enchantments and Gummi Ship, you will have to make each of them separately and get them approved. You can't use anything in Role Playing unless it's been approved by a Moderator, an Admin, or a Co. Admin! QUICK LINKS: Weapons and ArmorSpells and SkillsSummons and EnchanmentsForms and TransformationsGummi Ship WorkshopCharacter Profiles*** *** About Character Profiles:Character profiles store the information about your character, such as spells, skills, weaknesses, weapons, and attacks. They're pretty useful when it's time to fight an opponent. Keep yours constantly updated. If you get a new spell or skill approved, put it down in your Character Profile. It makes things much easier for Administrators and Moderators, and keeps the fights fair and free from God-Modding. Pinky's Role Players' "Quick Slang":GodModding {ghod-mhod-eeng} Noun, English Standard-- To overpower in an unfair mannerism. To be invincible. To be god-like.EXAMPLE: | example wrote: | Pinky stabbed MorpheusZero with a big carrot right in the middle of his heart. |
RP {AR-PEE} Verb, English Standard-- To Role Play. To pretend you are a certain individual in the basis of a story wrote as the characters interact with one another. As the individuals continue to write, the story progresses. EXAMPLE:
| Quote: |
| Pinky wrote: | Pinky was sitting on a bench all nice and comfy. |
| Biscuits of Heart wrote: | Biscuits sat next to her and said "Hi". |
|
Zexion'd: {Zuh-ex-zee-ohnd}, Verb, webslang-- To be screamed at by a staff member so badly that you feel like a fool just living.
There are common misconceptions with being Zexion'd as opposed to being Riku'd, Lenny'd, Roxxie'd, Kairi'd, Pinky'd, Bisccie'd, Yima'd or any other staff name with a "d" attatched. Being Zexion'd was like being slapped in the face with a large steak over and over and over and over until your face resembled the meat. It's just not a good thing to experiance. Try to avoid it. IF you happen to see the following directed after you did something stupid:
| example wrote: | You just got Riku'd/Lenny'd/Roxxie'd/Kairi'd/Pinky'd/Biccie'd/Yima'd ! |
You should feel pretty crappy.
Bump: {Bhum-Mp} Verb, English Standard-- To move up or draw attention to.
EXAMPLE: Pinky is trying to get a spell approved. Lenneth was watching her and helping her get it approved, and asked her to change something. After Pinky is done, she posts a reply saying that she is done editing what Lenneth asked her to.
N00b {NH-OOBH} Noun, English Standard-- An insult, usually directed towards a new person. This indicates that this person is inexperienced, and, possibly, can be deemed stupid and unable to learn. ((Pinky Story: HOWEVER, if you're ever called a n00b, don't take it personally. Usually the higher-ups forget to take their midol or something. Keep trying. *I* got called a n00b, and I even got BANNED for a week. Proof, you don't have to let other people's opinions drag you down.))
Veteran {Vhet-tehr-ehn} Adjective, English Standard-- A member of the site who is not only a frequent visitor, but has high prestige, respected by users, and is usually a very old member.
A list of current considered Veterans:
Roxas Riku Lenneth/Hirst Ansemthegreat MorpheusZero Alexa Pinky Rose Terradagger Forte Ikara Yima
Former Site Veterans
Celox Caedo Nobody Trickster Zexion Paleo Axel Paleo Paleo Axel ((yes, there's two Axels)) Kratos Swaiti Tirena Den
Please have a nice time at this site, and spread the word to help promote its growth. The more members a site like this has, the more fun it is!

| ((this needed a bump to the top. x3)) Okay, here's a little added bit, since the stupid edit button won't let me add more letters due to being over the word limit when I copy/paste this. Let's talk Stats:Stats, or " statistics" are used to represent how strong a character is. Stats are represented by numbers and are used in engagements to determine how much damage a character takes by an opponent, or deals to an opponent. There are several kinds of stats which you can use to make your character more customizable. THERE'S NO NUMBER SYSTEMS DETERMINING DAMAGE OR NEGATION AND STUFF.For example: | Quote: | | In Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, high magic/mana defense can sometimes negate magical attacks. |
BUT, since this is a website forum, and there's no way to really determine damage, stuff like that really can't be decided on. This is just placed on here so that you can fully take advantage of how to really customize your character, and it helps the staff figure out if you're being a little god moddy with your stats as well.
List 'O stats:
Attack/Strength Power: This tells you how strong your character is. The higher this stat is, the harder you will hit and the more damage your enemy will take.
Defense: Defense power tells you how well your character can block attacks. Those with higher defense usually take a lot less damage than those with lower.
Magic/Mana Power: This determines how much damage magical attacks will do. **THIS DOES NOT AFFECT HOW MUCH SPELLS COST**
Magic/Mana Defense: Pretty much the same as normal defense, this stat tells you how well your character fends off magically enhanced attacks.
Speed: This tells you how fast your character can move and react to attacks. It also can determine how fast your attacks will land. **THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS AGILITY**
Accuracy: This stat shows you how often your attacks will land. Those with higher accuracy will have better chances with those in high speed and evasion.
Evasion/Agility: **NOT THE SAME AS SPEED** This stat tells you how agile your character is. Characters with higher agility may be able to perform rolls, flips, etc. without using so much energy and tiring themselves out. Some (with the proper spell) can even run across walls, etc.
Luck/Chance: This is really a tricky stat, and I guess it can affect a lot of things, depending on your character. High luck could actually affect some lower status effects your character might have. FOR EXAMPLE:
| Quote: | Pinky Rose has low accuracy, high defense, and high luck. ((not really, I'm giving an example.)) Pinky goes to fight Biscuits. Biscuits is the fastest Character on the forum. Her high luck might enhance her chances of hitting Biscuits by raising her Accuracy.
Get it now?
|
Vitality/balance: This stat tells us how well your character can take a hit. It also tells you how much damage they can take without passing out! People with higher vitality might be able to kinda..."shrug off" the damage, but still be hurt....like this:
| Quote: | Trickster fights Riku. Riku kicks Trickster to the ground, and Trickster somehow breaks his arm. Trickster has high vitality, so he just grits his teeth and keeps attacking, despite his broken bone. Trickster still takes damage, but the point of vitality is to make sure you keep going in a fight. It tells you how many of those broken bones Trickster can take before he finally gives into the pain! |

Now let's go to a different note, and talk about posts:
Posts are the lifeblood of your character, and not to mention your power ranking. Those with more posts are considered more powerful as a character and as a user, they tend to be a little more respected. ((Depending on how you GOT those posts.)) Of course, just because you don't have a lot of posts, doesn't mean you don't get treated humanely. The staff cares about the users and their needs, and you don't need to be shy about asking them something or giving them a piece of your mind.
Posts determine the following:
---How much magic you have. -----The Number of Weapons you're allowed to have. -------The amount of magic your party member has. ((If applicable)) ---------How active you are on the website. ----------Your rank in your world's military. ((If applicable, this depends on which world you live in.)) -------------The Number of Forms/Enchantments/etc you are allowed to have.
So the more posts you have, the stronger your character becomes, as they unlock new forms, weapons, spells, and so on and so forth.
----------------------------------~~~~~---------------------------------------------------------
Now let's have a chat about worlds.
World Chat:
You know that there are several different worlds out there on the main index. Each of them has their own military, and each has a place to live as well as a place to RP and contact the leader of that world. As a character, you're encouraged to apply for whichever world suits for fancy or that of your character. You can visit any part of any world, unless it says otherwise in the description. ((Which is next to the name of the area.))
Travel: Most people just pop into worlds all willy-nilly. That's disobeying the rules, and it won't be tolerated! You may either learn to teleport, (see NOTE on teleporting) or you can create your very own gummi ship in order to get there. If you use a gummi ship, I suggest landing in during the beginning of the topic when you arrive.
++++++++++++++++++++++++~~~++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++~~~++++++++++
Okay you guys, that's all for now! This topic is subject to change depending on changes to the rules, etc. See you guys around, m'kay?! :3

| Actually, I'd like to add that if you're not good at a certain element or at magic, your costs will be bumped up, since well, I've had to bump up a cost of my own spell just cause my character isn't very good at Darkness, =/. _________________ Max MP - 150 Governor of Traverse Town |
